Most will help you. Get in contact with the secretary of the church of your choice tomorrow morning and tell them what you need. I dont want to be on here volunteering any specific church. But like I said most any church around will help a family in need.

Most people who actually need help are actually to proud or ashamed to ask for it. The ones who do ask for the help, work the circuit going around asking EVERYONE for help, when they are fully capable of helping themselves! They use and manipulate the system.

Those who find themselves dealing with difficult times will swallow their pride and ask for help if things get bad enough or if there are children involved. I'm honestly happy that you seem to be able to take such good care of yourself. On the other hand I'm troubles me that someone in your position would judge others so critically. I believe that it is written somewhere that it is easier for a camel to enter the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God. If you feel you are being manipulated why don't you quietly decline, rather than swawking about what rights others have when it comes to needs. I hope you are never at the mercy of others, but remember if we are lucky enough to live a long life, we usually end up being so.

Family Service Society and I believe Salvation Army also helps out. It is sad that some people want to bash someone who needs help. Times are tough for everyone, I am lucky that both my husband and I have decent jobs but some people still have to have help even if they have jobs because of the economy and the rising cost of living.

The intelligence radiating from this post astounds me. Mayhap they borrowed internet service from someone long enough to try to procure aid or maybe they walked to the library. Maybe they have a job and cannot make ends meet, maybe they just got the job and need a jump start. I put myself through school and at times I needed aid. Now that I have a great job I understand where my tax dollars go. I may not always be happy about all of it, but I've been on both sides so I am not so quick to judge anothers circumstance. Be thankful that you have a job, however do not be so prideful as to think this life won't teach you a lesson either. You could just as easily lose that job and be asking me for help one day, fortunate for you I would never spit in your face.

Amen and I heard someone say that some people are just a paycheck away from being bankrupt or losing everything. I have a friend who told me all those people who drive those high end luxury vehicles are the ones who seem to be the ones closest to declaring bankruptcy but they just don't want that.

It's called bumming. Sick and tired of the 'entitlement' in this country. You either can afford it or you can't, quit begging. Apparently you're a dweller too like the rest of our current administrations supporters. And don't give me that shit about losing your job, been there, got another one. Stop the whining for gods sake.

These people are not happy in their own lives and are looking for others to blame. Those asking for help are perfect targets. Down and seemingly unable to fight back. A good and gracious person either helps, or declines, both decisions made for personal reasons. Raging against people is an outlet for their own unhappiness in life. They hate changing oil for a living, so those beneath them are why they can never make more money. Then there are the ungracious wealthy who have lost touch or have never known what living between a rock and a hard place is. This world would be better if we donated our unwanted things to goodwill, tithed so that the church can help others, take a name off the Angel tree at Christmas. Things like that make me feel better than touting about the haves and have nots.

I really hope that you are never in the situation that a lot of people are in. Some people can't make ends meets even with working 2-3 jobs. I sure hope that if you are ever in a situation that you need help that someone offers to help you instead of snubbing their nose at you because you were too busy looking beneath them when they needed help.

Some of us have the luxury of having jobs where we are off weekends. Last time I checked, no one pays my bills but my husband and I but if you want to take some of them over, I will give you my son's college tuition that we also pay even though he has some scholarships that does not pay for everything but glad you think that all of us are freeloaders.
