OK, you guys are right. But it is still kool and rare. I hear Zander more than Evander. I have only heard Evander for the boxer.

I should have said that before 2000 the name was only used by 10 people in the world. I will find the link and post it.

What about how black people put "La" in front of everything? They are very creative when it comes to names.

People are starting to pick names that reflect the child's geneology or ancestry.

For example, if their ancestry is German they might name a boy Johann, Yohann, or one of the name's other alternate spellings instead of the generic English "John".

I've always wanted to name a girl Mediterranean Autumn. But my husband won't let me. We'd call her Meddy for short. But he still says if I do it, he'll divorce me.

Lemon jello or orange jello.
Seriously she was only expecting one baby and she had chosen Bobby. That really took some thought. Well she had another one and she kept saying she couldn't think of another name. She named him Bubby.

Whatever you name a child, think it through. I went to school with a guy that was named after his two grandfathers, Joseph and Robert. His parents called him Joe Bob. School bullies made fun of it because it made him sound like a hick. He wasn't the kind of kid that took being bullied lightly. In the 6th grade he sent one of them to the hospital with a broken nose and got suspended from school.
