I am looking for a doctor that takes new patients. I was on a sleeping pill for 5 years and lortab for my back. Since the new law and all the drug heads has made it hard for us that actually needs it can't get help any more. My doctor has stopped me off of everything, said to much paper work. I passed my drug test and Assiment test . Pain management does not take my insurance. I have no idea what to do . My pain is horrible and have not slept in weeks. I don't sell or abuse my medicine but getting punished for what others do. Any suggestions??? And smart ass people leave no comment

I cant understand how these Drs can legally cut a man off needed medications hes been taking for years. I know 2 other guys just like you. Im not talking about young lazy criminals either. Im talking about educated hard working men that suffered injuries years ago that suddenly are thrown to the wolves. I guess they expect you to go to one of these clinics. One friend ended up going to that selfrefind hell its better than nothing. And I know a woman that just retired a 30 yr career and she actually does still get a few lortabs plus xanax but shes all the time having to go take drug tests on her own dime. Thats just not right. If youve always followed the rules then why create a problem where theres not one?? I think these clinics are where they expect you to go. Just a legal dope dealer that can sell it to patients in need and charge an arm and a leg for it. What in the hell has this country come to?!?

They may be making it a little bit harder on the dopers but its the real patients in need like this guy whos taking the beating. And their driving some people that have never broke a law in their life right into the arms of a black market street dealer. People are going to try and treat their pain at just about any cost. You cant blame em. Whats next are they gonna start telling people how many cheese burgers they can eat due to folks gettin fat? I mean damn you cant regulate everything! Theres always gonna be somebody to abuse something. No matter what it is. I hope all of yall who need help can find it.

I don't mind to take s drug test its my darn doctor just said to much paper work I agree with you. I work pay my insurance and don't take but maybe one or two a day. I have a bad back , and bad headaches. They have me sleeping med cause my brain just don't turn off at night. It's been a whole month that I have slept longer then 3 hours. I have NEVER been in any trouble or arrested heck never had a ticket. I just don't understand it, if u don't a criminal background or even a past of drug use then why should we pay. Ugh. Hoping someone would help me. Thanks for your post !

Your welcome. It really frustrates me to see good honest folk like you having to suffer. But I have a nephew whos supposedy adhd add and god only knows what all else lol and you know hes on 2 or 3 different meds, a stimulant, a sleeping pill ect. They pump this generation of kids full of dope and chemicals then wonder why their all hooked with drug problems. I dont mean to rant but its all tied together. If your kid needs to be "zombiefied" just send em to ol dr cecil. He will have em sitting in front of a video game not wanting to go outside to play in no time flat. I believe that makes me just as mad. I will be talking to the lady who I was telling you about and I will sure ask her who she goes to and post so you will know.

"I cant understand how these Drs can legally cut a man off needed medications hes been taking for years."

it's call government regulations...

as the government takes over healthcare, you become less important as an individual, the paper work required to prescribe certain drugs provides government jobs for regulators. It's unimportant to politicians that you suffer unless you are part of a large voting block. As doctors lose the freedom to treat patients according to their best judgment, they must follow the federally mandated guidelines. Welcome to socialistic medicine.

a few years ago, out of the blue my friend's doctor decided to 'fire him' as a patient. My friend was on pain medications as well as inhalers for COPD. He wasnt a drug addict, he wasnt selling his medications. he NEEDED them. I am sick and tired of these new doctors and their attitudes and lack of compassion. I think there should be some place for folks like this to go and make a formal complaint. it's about time something is done to these sadistic grim reapers.

Dr. Patel in Metropolis wont even take a patient if they're already on a list of medications. He also has to 'authorize' you before he will agree to see you as a patient..what a piece of shyt that needs to go back to India!!

These new docs dont give a flyin fk about anyone but themselves and money. They should all be in trouble for the way they treat their patients. A call to the Hospital administration may be a good place to start. contact the AMA I dunno, but I'm on board with those who get punished because of all the drug addicts, dope sellers. They really cannot lump as all into that category.

Can thank governor for the cut off on pain meds, adhd meds, even antipsychotics. Yes anti psychotics are being replaced with "talk therapy" so a lot of hurting and crazy people will be running loose in paducah thanks to obamas healthcare reform. If people had only read it first they wouldn't have wanted it. Not only that but try getting a coldand its a full on interrogation at the pharmacy counter.
Try doctorate in mayfield, they actually treat patients to fix the problem.

He will not write any kind of addictive medication. Has his own battle with addiction.
