Who can name some of the older, original wpsd cast? Anyone remember Vicki Dortch?
I remember her. Tom Butler had a long affair with her. I'd see them on a boat on Kentucky Lake a lot. Bill Barnhill was the early morning anchor back in the late 70's & early 80's. He passed away a few years ago.

Hi Tom, loved you too!(Sorry to hear about your wife.) WPSD ought to do a reunion show so we can catch up on all of you. That would be great!
The 50th anniversary of the station came and went with little reflection.

Who was the weather man who got busted for cocaine? Word at the time was he pointed out drop locations in his forecast, to the mules who were watching.
Damn, I can't remember, but his wife, Cathy was my youth group leader at Westminster Presbyterian Church. I remember him as the "zany weatherman," saying we had snow blowing in from Florida. It never crossed my tween mind until the coke bust.

News just isn't the same as it was when Tom Butler and Sam Burrage were there. The ppl on there now are just plain rude to meet in person!

you can't forget Cal Sisto![/QUOTE]

You mean Francis Cal Sisto. He was ok, but a lousy tipper. I've delivered food to him and he would stiff anyone who delivered to him. But, he wasn't all that bad...except for the winter that he said we would get flurries and ended up with over 1 foot of snow, lmao!

Gary Roedemeier, moved on to work a long time at WHAS in Louisville. Miss Kay was her name I think.

Sounds like Chris Gentry. He was not from here and not related to any local Gentry's.

I saw Tom Butler at my church picnic last year and he is sharper than most young people I know. In my family when the teenagers have a computer question, I am the go to person. I also know more about Facebook, e- mail and photo share. I do all my family's income tax returns, even the long forms. I haven't made a mistake yet. I do all my banking, bill paying, etc. online. I am 82 years of age. My vision is 20/20. My blood pressure is110/ 68. I take no medications . I know all the slang but I rarely use it. I am an excellent speller and reader. I have a 3000 book library. I have read all the classics and most best sellers. I walk 4 miles per day. I have slowed down a little because of the heat but I will get back to 6 miles per day now that it is cooler. I see fat 20 year old men and women waddling through the store to use their food stamps. I weigh 112, but then I don't get food stamps. Don't categorize people by age, race or religion.

I was just driving by and I noticed that your roof needs fixing right away or it will fall in and ruin your home and you will have to go to a nursing home. If you will give me the money to go buy the materials right now, I will fix your roof.

Tom, I used to respect you for the work you did and the figure you were in our community.

Then I watched as you assisted "Dr." Robert Imhoff replace all of the board of trustees of Mid-Continent University with his crony friends and give him whatever he (and Jackie) wanted.

I've lost all respect for you. How could you sit by and allow this as many students lost their hard earned credits and employees who worked hard for little pay lost their jobs at an institution they loved--much like we assumed you did.

Maybe I've got it wrong, but I'd love to hear your side as you were Chairman of the Board when it went belly up and several years prior.
