First, you need TWO pieces of bologna. That is key. Second, you either need to poke holes in the bologna or slice and X in the middle, the bologna needs to vent. Third, place a slice of gov't cheese on it in the last minute. Finally, lather that bad boy up with some mustard and onions! BOOM!!!

The best way to fry bologna is to deep fry it. The BP station on Park Avenue does it that way. It is fantastic.

1) Place Bologna in buttered or oiled skillet on stove.

2) Turn stove to wfo aka.'high'

3) Turn

4) Allow to cool

Although I dont often disagree with you I would recommend
step one say bacon fat rather than buttered or olied skillet.

Fried bologna is best when fried very crisp around the edges. Melt cheese on the finished piece. Add mustard, just a dot of catsup, two slices of crisp bacon and a
Thick slice of tomato. Two slices of bread. Smash the bread down to compact everything. Yummy! Drink a glass of cold milk with it.

The best fried bologna is from a roll that has been smoked on a smoker. Take the wrap off, slice it about an inch deep, add whatever seasoning you like into slit, then smoke for a few hours. The when its fried, it is heavenly!
AGREED!

I remember years ago, like more then 20 years ago, when my parents would get it. It is so much better then any you buy at the grocery store today. I would love to know where you could buy some!
