Has anyone else on here been arrested wrongly after doing everything that the court said and then getting arrested for the same thing because a clerk made a "clerical" error? Clerical error my ass. My sourses say that theres one clerk in particular that has a bad habit of this error! Her name is Kim C. They will not tell you her full name and you can't get a lawyer to do anything about it. She is not the traffic clerk, she is the other one who goes to court.

Did you not read the whole thing? They said that they had already finished by doing everything that the court had said and then they were arrested after the fact. I know of a couple others that this has happened to. One girls case was over a couple years before and then she gets arrested because of that clerical error that was mentioned before. Clerical errors happen way too often in that office.

The clerks have to go by what is entered in the computer and what Frankfort has on file. If anything the error would be up in Frankfort. I hate to tell you but I have never seen anyone get wrongly arrested. Bench warrants can be from years ago and if one shows up in the court clerks office, that is going to show up. There is more to this story than you are telling.

Are you saying that what is entered in the computer cant be wrong? It is also put in by a clerk, right? What if they get one number or letter off? Yep, that is exactly what happened. Clerks make mistakes and then try to pass it off to Frankfort.

I am saying that they only enter the information they are given so if a person who gives them the information gave it wrong then it is up to the person who gave them the information to correct it. The information is sent to Frankfort and like I said I have never seen anyone wrongly arrested. It amazes me how many people are just wrongly arrested. I wonder how many judges and lawyers have heard that one.

Everyone keeps twisting the facts of what was actualy said here. The case was completely OVER and then a year or so later they were arrested on that case that they had paid off, done there time and everything else. This has nothing to do with frankfort and everything to do with the office clerks. I realize that that most all people in jail say they were wrongly arrested but these people actualy were because the case was OVER and then that clerk issued a bench warrent on something that should never have happened. Clerical error!!!

First off you weren't arrested by the McCracken county clerks office....last time I checked you could only be arrested by a police officer. Second the office you refer to is not the McCracken county clerks office it would be the district clerks office...yeah I really believe you were "wrongfully" arrested. Apparently you don't even know what office you were in.

Ive seen it happen to several people in paducah, the court system here is a joke, ive seen people i know for fact were innocent get convicted, i know 4 people that the clerical "errors " got them arrested and one lost his job because of it. They need to get the incompetent uneducated rednecks out of the office.

It is so amazing that e equine calls these clerks rednecks when in fact all o them have had court training and schooling. I would hate to see some people try to do the job they do. Like I have heard I never heard anyone wrongly arrested.

So the moral of this story is...don't do anything to get arrested in the first place and you won't have this problem! Duh!

And don't give me that "I was brought up in a bad environment" bs. Everyone has choices to make. Make good ones.

People get arrested whether or not they have done anything to get arrested for. I want to pull my hair out when I read or hear of people getting arrested for public intoxication and they've only been using alcohol. Fact is that most cops have the saying "You may beat the rap, but you won't beat the ride." There are far too many of those kinds of cops around the Paducah area. Too busy trying to enforce their opinion instead of the law.

Public intoxication can be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. It is often easier for the law to say PI especially when one may be under the influence of alcohol but the test can point to drugs. Cops are just doing a job and it would be a job, I wouldn't want to do, afterall, some idiot could always blow them away who is under the influence of a alcohol or drugs.

Why on Earth would someone be arrested for NOT doing anything to be arrested for? Are you telling me that if I see an officer somewhere I need to run and hide; because,
they may arrest me just for the sake of arresting me? Or are thinking that public intoxication is not illegal!? In general, police officers do not tend to arrest people for PI unless there are other circumstances with it-if a person is causing other problems and not just minding their own business. I have been told by police that myself and friend needed to call it a night and we were just sitting on a bench with a few other friends downtown. He could have very well arrested me but, he did not. My guess would be because I just you are probably right and left (with DD).

Many people are arrested for clearly violating the law. Other people are arrested or abused by local officials because they can get away with it. The people who are abused usually don't have the means to fight the powerful government system and people in the system back each other up.

No, they are arrested because they have broke the law. I am not sure why people have such a hard time understanding that. There is no getting away with it just because they are local law officials or a court system. Judges can be removed from office during a term for not doing what is right, lawyers removed from practicing law and yes, even court workers can be fired. It is a checks and balance system so no one is getting by with anything.
