Not been there but snake handling is predominate in the Pentecostal and Holiness faith. They do that repeating syllable "speaking in tongs" and stuff but the part of handling of snakes has been outlawed in most states. There was a preacher who died recently doing this though. I think it was in W. Virginia.

No...we do not handle snakes at Faith Center. That's ridiculous.

No they do not handle snakes, and when I visited I could not even tell that they might be of pentecostal persuasion. I didn't return because I just didn't see anything in their material or in John's preaching of any Biblical substance. I found it sugar coated, watered down, shallow, I Guess i'm struggling for a description. Just wasn't serious enough about Scripture, faith, and Christianity. Having said that though, many would find it a good place, and they did have an excellent worship/praise band that day. All depends in what you believe and what you like.

Faith center isn't just about relaying what the bible says, its about how to apply that to living as a Christian. John preaches heavily on how to BE the kingdom of God every day and how to reach others through Christ. We are about loving others and accepting and helping people find healing through Christ and to support. Not to judge and turn away. We aren't always perfect, but the heart of the church is pure and John is a great preacher with a lot of love in his heart. Its not for everyone but nothing ever is. And please don't judge or ask ridiculous questions before you go yourself and can form an opinion.

Cornerstone is now "Fathers House."
It's a wonderful church off Behind Strawberry Hill on Hansen Road!
I started going there and I have never felt so close to God before. I got baptized there on Easter Sunday last year. The members of Faith Center join us at Fathers House every now and then for an awesome service!
Anyone is welcome. <3

I have personally been going to Faith Center since the first of October last year and absolutely love it. I was raised in a pentecostal church until I was 14 and decided it wasn't for me anymore. Since then, I have visited other churches but never found "The One" that was for me. 15 years later, I decided to check out Faith Center to see what it was all about and have gone every sunday since then. My fiance and myself leave almost every service saying "I think he was talking to me" and we feel closer to God every time. From the first time we went, we have felt welcomed and as if we can be ourselves without judgement. Both my fiance and I have visible tattoos and several people have commented about how cool they are. John even pointed out my fiances tattoo during his sermon one day and made it a point to touch on the fact that it doesnt matter how we decorate our bodies, our heart is whats important. Faith Center isn't for everyone, but it is the place for us! Check out the website www.faitcenter.tv where you can watch video of John Aitkins past sermons or come out and see for yourself. We have a 9am and an 11am sermon on sunday mornings. We'd love to see each and every one of you there!:)
