I hope you win, that place is just a converted old warehouse. It used to be IET, ask them about what happened with that.

If you had to go to Daymar, you don't deserve a real degree. Daymar doesn't play games: you know when signing up that you're going to f'n Daymar - the Idiot's Ivy League.

They scale about the same as a nearby school - Paducah Middle

Well I graduated from wkctc with honors and it got me nowhere. It all depends what you go for. If you go to daymar for medical of course it's a ripoff. In paducah, western baptist gives money to wkctc, and lourdes gives it to SIU. So who do you think they are going to hire first. The same goes for any other company that donates.
People need to do some thinking about what they are doing and get facts before they jump into anything such as school; considering you will be spending a lot of money no matter where you go if you don't get aid. Sure daymar costs more, it's a privite school that only has it's own funding mostly.
Programs such as the electronics tech at Daymar will get you somewhere faster than wkctc because they have a relationships with a companies that hire.
All you have to do is do some research. Just because you went into something blindfolded doesn't mean it's someone else's fault.
To Tina: didn't you say somewhere else that you went to daymar for only three weeks?
Sounds like you made a mistake, and you are trying to pin it on someone else.
Credits don't transfer of course. Places such as ITT tech won't have programs designed that way.
The reason why in Kentucky you have credits that transfers amoungt schools is because of agreements made between school. If you tried to transfer credits out of state from a community college most of those will not transfer because the school has the option to not let you. If you try to transfer to Murray without a associates degree they won't transfer a lot of your credits. If you have an associates then they have to because of agreements.
All of this though is availble if you ask questions. Maybe you won't have all the facts, but at least a little bit of knowledge.
I know plenty of people that went to daymar and got a really good job.
Of course someone didn't hand them a job. You have to work at it.

Um first of all the only reason my man has a job was because of IET aka PADUCAH TECH when he went for electronics until daymar took it over they done screwed that program up as well and yeah your right they do have companies hire out specifically for the electronics because it was always INSTITUTE OF ELECTRONIC TECHNOLOGY before it became DAYMAR ANYTHING Well when I started I thought I was going to PADUCAH TECH not daymar and no i didn't look into the school i only went because i had a friend who was suppose to start when i did and I graduated from daymar class of 08 and no i didn't drop out after three weeks I went from sept 06-april 08 and I don't karaoke every night only on my nights off and the rest i spend working and studying at the same time cuz my job is the sh#t!

I think the school sucks. No reason to pay 40 grand to go there and end up making 20 grand a year. Public schools are a lot better

It's funny how current students feel like they can make judgements on past classes. I attended and graduated from Daymar a few years ago. After my classes were completed we were called back for an unscheduled session because there were some important items on the certification test that the good teachers at Daymar never bothered to teach. I had a classmate who'd taken a class a quarter before me. My class required the same book as the previous class. I was told I could use her book but I was going to be charged for a new book anyway. There were times when student had to correct the teacher because she was so overloaded with information that she would get things mixed up. We had a student teaching us pharmacology who graduated the quarter before he started teaching. He was unable to read and/or pronounce some of the terms. There were students who we all knew were not cut out for the medical field who were still able to pass. I will admit I was not promised job placement, but I was promised "Lifetime Job Placement Assistance." I was moving out of state after graduation so I asked an unnamed lady in the business office at Daymar if the had any contacts for my field in the state I would be moving to. She told me they did. Once I'd graduated and moved the that state I called several times and left messages to contact me. I was searching for a job as a medical assistant, but all the companies I contacted wanted someone with at least a year of experience working in the field. Because I was a new graduate, I did not have the experience. I continued to call and finaly got in touch with someone in the business office at Daymar who told me that, unfortunately the did not have any leads or contacts in or near this major city to which I'd moved. I am currently working in the medical field, doing exactly what I was doing before I went to Daymar. I make a pertty good wage, but I still have to pay back the loans that I took out for my wasted two years.

Help stop predatory colleges from lining thier pockets with YOUR federal dollars. Spread the word. Daymar College is being sued by the ky attorney general for fraud. Do a google search to find out all about it and save your friends and family members from being taken advantage of by this organization and it's owner, Mark Gabis.

I have to say that the Network Support Administration program at Daymar in Clarksville, TN is very good. The instructors challenge the students with actual hands-on work and assist in any way possible.
