Seriously... If you're going to this site for help, pack up that iTouch and take it back to the store. You are too stupid to own one.

Okay if you already have the iTunes program on your computer, plug your iPod into the tower, or laptop or whatever. Open iTunes and it will recognize the device. You can import your music to iTunes and then drag it over from there. It might make you sign up for an account. I already had my account when I got my iPod so I'm not sure if it's required. Hope this helps.

And my ex trolled topix on my device. I divorced him for a reason. He is a dick.

1. Automatically update all songs and playlists. This is the default mode, in which your entire music library, including playlists, is automatically synched to your iPod. If the music library on your computer exceeds the iPod storage capacity, iTunes will offer to choose a selection of songs to sync to iPod.

2. Automatically update selected playlists. With this option, iTunes automatically copies only the playlists you have selected to iPod when you connect it to the computer. This option can be selected by accessing the Music tab of the iPod settings.

3. Manually manage music. You can also choose to transfer music to iPod manually. This allows you to drag and drop individual songs and playlists from iTunes to iPod. You can find this option by accessing the Summary tab of the iPod settings.

Step 1: Connect your iPod and launch iTunes.
Step 2: Now your iPod will show up as a drive on your Desktop.
Step 3: Open Houdini, click "Folders," and then "Reveal." Locate your iPod, and open "iPod_controls." Highlight "Music," and press Choose.
Step 4: Now in your iPod folder, open iPod_Controls > Music. Highlight all of the folders and drag them into the desired folder on your hard drive.

If you sync your iPod with iTunes, all the existing music in your iPod will be deleted. To prevent this from happening, you can have a try on FonePaw iOS Transfer, which can easily transfer music from computer to iPod without restrictions of iTunes. And when you don't want music on your iPod, you can also use it to delete music from iPod.
