Go to Marshall, walk in the courthouse or jail and ask, that is the only way. If u do you will go to jail, if not you won't. Only solution.

well they sure did when i called them 2 weeks ago. If you have a good reason, which I did. Mine had to do with my child and her father. I guess you don't know everything dumba$$. It is public record. Heck i have went to the court house and got his whole rap sheet printed off and handed to me. You will not be put in jail for inquiring, it is not a crime.

Yep.

I dont know wtf the person with the kid is talking about. But no, they will not tell you on the phone. And warrants are NOT public record. Arrest records are. Two TOTALLY different things....

when i call marshall co sheriff's office I spoke with a lady that answered the phone. I told her who I was and who I was inquiring about and why. She looked up the info and gave me the info i was looking for, no problems at all. I also asked about his drivers licence status and she nicely directed me to the circut court clerk who also advised me his dl was suspended. There is no law aginst inquiring, it stupid to think there is!

i looked it up and there is no law in the commonwealth of kentucky that says it is illegal. If what you are saying is true, which it is not, then why the heck do they put them on the news in the fugitive file segment? What is your answer to that?

No one is saying there is a law against it dumbass! Geez. If you're wanted, you cannot call them and ask them, amd get a straight answer. Duhh, because they want to arrest you on the spot IF you DO havw a warrant. It's not a law neccesarily, just the way things work. So stfu you have you idea what you're talking about. Thanks in advance.

umm u need to read all of the posts again because sure enough someone was trying to say that it is against the law to ask about warrants. So maybe you need to ''stfu'' instead.

Thanks for the info. I wasnt asking because I'm wanted but rather because I wanted to see if someone else was. So, no worries about needing to run! I just assumed there would be a list of ppl online that had warrants out for them. U know, so that maybe ppl cld turn in information regarding them or their whereabouts.

Here's what I did, and this is the only way to get them to confirm it to you...About 4 months ago I had a warrant in Marshall Co...I called the Sheriff's Dept and told them I was coming to turn myself in and I was on my way to the bank and needed to know what the bond was. They confirmed the warrant and told me what the bond was but they did not tell me what the warrant was for. It worked so, Good Luck!!!

The sheriffs dept CAN tell you if someone has a warrant it's not illegal. You can call and ask about anyone and they will tell you.

No, a warrant would not show up on a background check.

I agree, the sheriffs office will tell you if their is a warrant but only for the county you are calling. I've done it before with no problem. Hell, if you are curious if someone is sitting in jail, call them and they'll give you answers too. Most of the time they will talk to you unless the case is sealed, an adoption case or it's a minor. Everything from traffic, criminal and divorces are open records unless it's what I mentioned above. I know all too well.

S.s.o no but I'm not sure about drivers license. I'm not sure if they run it when they issue it. Never had that problem

If you have a warrant and go to renew your dl yes your name will be flagged and you will more than likely be arrested. Here is a thought, be an adult and take care of the warrant, then you don't have to constantly wonder or worry about it.
