Thats fine I'll give him that, he is human and yes it is because of morphine...I know for a fact!! To make a mistake is one thing but when you involve other peoples lives in the matter of whom have absolutely no idea what hes doing to have any choice in the matter and chosose to put thier lives on the line because of a mistake he chooses to make is absolutely unacceptable!!! Period!!! Ever heard that saying "you make the bed you lie in" that kinda relates to him, his license should be taken away and he should NEVER get to practice again. For all you folks who feel so badly for him just think about this what if it was you??? or your child that he was performing surgery on or messed them up badly or even killed them?? You probably wouldn't be saying the things you are saying now!! Thats whats wrong with the health care systems today, they can do or say just about anything they want because they have that Dr behind their name, REMEMBER all of our lives are precious and just as important to the next....

I heard that a Dr. Hayward was coming to Metropolis now. I looked at his reviews online and I couln't find anything bad. So I called his office and got an appointment with him and I was very impressed. He is a very nice guy and I was afraid I was going to have to have surgery but he is very conservative.

Doctors are humans too. People make mistakes. Heck didnt we have a president who got some action in office. The public tends to put these type of people on a pedistal and fail to remmeber they are HUMAN!!!!! Your not perfect, neither are they.
Drug Rep for Pain Pumps

I am a Drug Rep for Pain Pumps and noticed that while consulting with Dr. McDonald he was clearing messed up on something. Therefore, I reported it immediately to Lourdes Administration. From there, I am not sure what exactly happened. I heard he had installed his own pain pump in his leg. He was addicted to all hard pain meds, gambling, and cocaine.

If you area really who you say you are, why in the world would you post this? This may have really happened but why post such an embarassing moment in time-he probably thought you were his friend and could trust you. Even though it was the right thing to do, I don't think you should have posted this...

I am reading all of these things about Dr. McDonald and he did back surgery on me in 03 and I had been to St. Louis, Nashville, Cape, Kansas City, Columbia Mo University and Memphis and got no relief and he fixed my back. He came in on a Sat because that was the only time they could do it. I have seen him for check ups and I know from personal experience he is a smart and excellent dr and I am sorry he is having problems. I hope he comes back to Paducah and as far as the drug problems I dont know about that. I understand he is getting treatment and I would let him operate on me again. He is the best I have ever been too. I could not walk or drive and barely move and he took excellent care of me and this is a private matter that should not be all over the internet. I have been told he will be back maybe as long as a year as he is in long term treatment. This is my first time on this site and it just amazes me that ppl have no compassion for anyone who has a problem. Maybe you ought to look at your own life and see if you are perfect!! I would be in a wheelchair today if not for Dr. McDonald. My prayers are with him and his family and he should be left alone to work on his problems without being condemmend by ppl who probably are listening to gossip!! If any of his family reads this please tell him not everyone thinks he is a bad person. Paducah was lucky to have him!! On another note Dr.Haywood is a excellent
Dr. I went to him when I lived in Mo and he is very careful and he talked to Dr. McDonald about me and they discussed more surgery and said I had to much scar tissue to do any good. I had my first back surgery and got no relief, but Dr. McDonald helped me and I hope he comes back well and I will be one of the first to go to him!!! Oh by the way my surgery took 14 hrs and he was there 4 hours after I got back to my room and controled the pain from my surgery. Dont ruin a mans repution untill you have walked in his shoes!!! God Bless you Dr McDonald and hurry back this is one patient who misses you.

The fact is that he put peoples lives at stake by taking medication he shouldn't be taking. Not a very good thing to do to gain a good reputation as a doctor. If he is able to come back prolly wouldn't be a good thing to come back here. I've heard people that are his friends say that it's not a big deal and he turned his self in for the problem. The fact is that's what he tells people that make the situation not look as bad. He did drugs and he got caught that's what happened. He is just one of the many doctors that do drugs and mess around on there wives he just happen to get caught.

Some people say they are surprised he would do this. Now come on just look at the guy. He looks like pot smoking dope head. Just because he's a doctor doesn't make him into someone that is high almighty.

I'm glad to see some doctors don't get away with everything. Most think they can.

I have a close friend who is a reliable source and the office is telling everyone that he is on a leave of absence while this is true, BUT he is also in some trouble. This person had an appt with him and when he went in the doctor was acting crazy not his normal self....needless to say he is addicted to morphine-which is what he was on and gave this person 10 shots in his neck and they do not know why he did. They are preceding with an attorney and thank goodness he found this out because he was supposed to have surgery that following Monday. So it seems to be the drugs!!! People aren't always who and what you think they are just be careful. Also this patients wife happens to be an RN as well.
What attorney because my husband is going through the same situation? Wr r callin attorneys now!!!

I had clinicals at lourdes and was in the OR as a student. We wondered if he was on cocaine. Definitely seemed to have some kinda problem. I can't say for sure. But I've been in surgeries with him where he would leave several times during the surgery, supposedly to the bathroom, then he would come back and resume operating. I worked with many doctors during my clinicals and never even once did any of them leave their patient on the table and walk out of the room for any reason.

I have also been a patient of McDonald so I hate to think anything bad of him. I had a blood clot in my brain in 2003 and if it weren't for him I would have been flown to Lousiville. He's very smart and good at what he does. If he does have a problem hopefully he'll get the help he needs.
