You're wrong dummy! Federal grand juries meet and indict people all the time. Perhaps this grand jury was at the state level, but there are federal grand jury's.

I said the same thing Charlie Sheen that there are Federal Grand Juries, wow needs to knwo a little more about the law before he makes that statement. In fact there are 2 types of juries that the federal court system has- petit grand jury and a Federal Grand Jury. I should know because in 2007, I got called to serve on a petit grand jury for the federal court system and in 2010 for a Federal Grand Jury.

He has been indicted on the local level by the state grand jury on 11 counts, goes to court the end of the monthand the investigation is still being conducted by the DEA and State Police. If the DEA sees fit then he could indicted by the Feds. How is that for not knowing the court system. Of course, he could accept any bargains that his attorney Mark Bryant can get for him and the case would never make it to a jury trial.

Well, you're just as pathetic as I am because clearly you have nothing better to do. That is, if posting commenets on Topix is how you determine how pathetic someone is.

A felony is more punishable by law- can serve more than a year in prison or longer. I do not know what the other 3 charges were but since 7 out of 11 are felonies, I guess the other 3 are misdemeanors which means that if he is found guilty in a court, provided he sees a court room, that his sentence could be a fine or less than a year in prison. Being that Mark Bryant specializes in high profile crimes-he will be interesting to see if a deal is made and if this guy even sees the inside of a court room and a jail cell.

I meant that if he is found guilty on the 3 misdemeanors that his sentence could be a fine or less than a year in prison. In felonies, because that is a harsher and more severe charge-he could have a stiffer fine and spend longer in jail. I realized after I wrote the above that it sounded like I meant all the charges and that was not the case. Sorry, for the confusion.

Ok thank you! You done a great job of answering that and I appreciate it :) But how could he end up not even going to court?? I can see jail but you mean he may not even see inside of a courtroom...just wondering and thanks again! It's crazy how they keep alot of this kindof stuff quiet imo.

Well, Mark Bryant is famous for making deals so he possibly could make a deal with the prosecuting attorney and all parties would agree to it and the judge whoever that will be would also agree and he might not see the courtroom. I don't have a clue if that can happen or not with this but I just know that Mark Bryant and that law firm is famous for taking high profile cases.

I doubt that he will be able to return to be a doctor, by the time the legal system gets done with him. More than likely, and I am just guessing but he probably will lose his license to practice.

No. You must not watch news much. There have been so so so many drs do the same thing. I can name 6 in the past 5 -10 years. All of them are back to practicing. He will be back. Keep your eyes peeled.

Name names ok because I have seen the news and we will see if he is allowed to practice. Maybe they are practicing but sure to heck can't dispense medication.

Yes they are dispensing meds. Tinsley, diles, tolar, there was a surgeon about a year ago (can't remember his name). The list goes on. Many drs have done illegal and unethical things. They are practicing and writing rx. Don't act like you know. Obviously you don't. I work in the medical field. I'm very familiar.

I never said I knew why do you think I said name names! I don't work in the medical field and never claimed I did, did I? I was giving particulars on what can happen if this case ends up in a court room. Most of us never hear about the doctors who are in trouble and that they are back practicing. If I did, I wouldn't ever go back to them.
