I go to pain mgmt and get prescribed lortab 5 for my back. I just recently went to the dentist and they prescribed me 30 lortab 5s. I missed my pain mgmt appt during this time so I didn't get any extra lortabs or anything like that. But I didn't tell my dentist I'm a pain mgmt patient. What's going to happen when I go to my upcoming appt with pain mgmt?

You gotta be completely honest and upfront with all your doctors. I realize it may have been an honest mistake, but you could get cut off at pain management for that. how do they know it was a mistake, you know? They are very strict on this type of thing. Too many abusers. Good luck but it doesnt sound good. I know several patients that have been cut in half or cut completely off for this.

Should I have my dentist contact pain management or just go ahead and contact pain management myself? Do you think they will contact my dentist? Like I said, i didn't get double prescriptions or anything.

Yeah I would for sure. Id do it today if you can. Cant be too careful with these type situations. But yea I would see if the dentist would either make the call or at least write you something so you can take it with u next time u go to pain management. Since your being up front and honest you should be okay. Good luck

So it was an honest mistake that you didn't tell the dentist that you were a pain management patient then you get a prescription for Lortab?
Yeah, I can see how that would accidentally happen, not.

"Then, Mr. Pain Management Doctor, I accidentally pulled up to the pharmacy in my neighbor's car, because that's the only person that would take a couple Lortabs for gas money and I accidentally went up to the counter and gave them my prescription to fill. Then, I accidentally picked it up and took them all in a day. Honest mistake, I swear." I can just hear it now..

I didn't come on here to hear back lash. I just started at pain mgmt. LikeI said, I didn't get two scripts in one month. I don't even care for the lortabs, Id rather be put on something more mild.

But that's what all the pillheads say. If you want my opinion, you're going to have to own up to your problem and fix it. I've lived with someone addicted to painkillers and it wasn't easy for either of us..get help. If you didn't like them, you wouldn't be filling that script. I know how addicts work unfortunately and I see it all over your posts.

What did you expect then when you ask for advice on topix? Call Dr. Phil next time. Although, he'd probably say the same thing.

It is most definitely a racket and so is Paducah professional associates along with that Self Refind place. Opiates are the best drug to get hooked on because of getting them legally. Also the most dangerous. But, Dr Manchichatti is waaaay to greedy to ever stop prescribing pain medication. What shots are you talking about?
