They are cheaper than all of the other apartments in Paducah? Do you get what you pay for? Meaning are they nasty? Any info is appreciated!

They are nice, They just don't have central air. You must buy a window unit or two. You pay, electric, gas. The main bedroom is big!

Maint guys are morons. People next to a buddy of mine moved out, and I went by while they were painting. The paint they were using didnt match what was on the wall. I said something, and the one guy said, they didnt care it was cheap. I guess by and large you wouldnt find the sharpest knives in the drawer to be working out there. Otherwise the places overall are better than years ago.

I've visited one or two of these apartments and I actually think it's pretty nice for your garden-variety cheap apartment complex. I once lived in Fernwood, so I don't mean to sound judgmental.

It seems like I've heard they run cheaper than Fernwood's rent, and their kitchens are actually pretty large from what I remember. Otherwise I remember thinking the apartment setup was identical to that of Fernwood.

I did have a friend who lived there, and once her pipes burst, feces-laced water flooded her apartment and she told me the management attempted to put the payment responsibility for it on her, but she shouted them down until they cooperated, since it was not her fault at all...So I'd consider that.

But Fernwood is worse as far as I know. There was a shooting during the time I spent there, the maintainance crew does not respond well to requests, and their kitchens are closet-sized.

My electric bill was never higher then $70. My gas bill usually ran around $65 in winter.

I lived in one of the little houses. Why they do seem cheap (by comparison to other apt complexes) if you live in a house, the costs add up quickly. You'll want to/have to purchase the following: Air conditioner, carpeting (floors are HARD and COLD in the winter), stove, washer, dryer, refrigertor. Utilities were cheap since they were small...BUT...they also have some serious insulation problems...so really electric was higher than it should be. Also if you want a house you'll need a lawn mower, and lawncare will be your responsibility.

If you choose an apartment instead of a house, these come with a very small stove, and (maybe a fridge, i think)...had a friend that lived in one..but it has been a few years. You'll still have to purchase an air conditioner, washer, dryer. THEY take care of lawncare if you live in apartment. Personally, I think the crime/drug use/noise was MUCH worse in the area where the apartments were, though.

personally, if i had it to do over again, I'd prefer to pay a little more per month, and let them supply major appliances, in an area where i feel a little safer..

I lived there years ago and the apartments came with stove and a frig, I had to buy two window units and a washer and dryer. My utilities were gas and electric and they were not high. I had to have them put dead bolt locks on my door because not all apartments had them!$50 a door and they have to do it.
