Anyone know much about this? The judge ordered a DV assessment on someone I know and heard it was very expensive and a lot of work.

What happens if I don't complete the classes? Why do I have to go in front of a judge every damn month?

Stop hitting your significant other, then you don't have to worry about it.

You don't have to hit them. It's people like you that judge when you have no idea. Yelling at your wife is considered abuse and that could lead to 4th degree assault.

I most certainly have an "idea" about it. I have experienced it first hand.

If they are court ordered and you do not go or do not complete the program then you will be held in contempt of court and you will do your shelf time (the jail time that was conditionally discharged).

Maybe you did really experience abuse but not all the men or women that get charged with 4th degree assault put there hands on there spouse. All it takes is for a mad spouse say is he or she hit me and the other will go to jail and be charged. This is a corrupt money hungry county that will threaten will jail to get you to take a lesser charge with classes fines and probation. It's a money ring I've watched it first hand.
