I am sick of electric rates always going up. You all said leaving TVA we would have cheaper rates. Where are they? We just had a big rate increase and I hear that another one is coming in spring 2013. NOT FAIR! The customers have had no say so on you all wasting our money.

Our government has turned on us and needs to be impeached and reorganized BY THE PEOPLE. Elected officials should not be paid as it is not a job, but a duty and a privelage to serve for the PEOPLE.

1. American money is not worth as much because we keep printing and borrowing instead of producing. That means all prices(including electricity) go up. We had an election and decided to take this route.

2. WE also chose by election to put heavy regulations on the coal industry causing them to close plants. Less electricity produced means higher rates.

3. obama told us that under his plan energy prices would "necessarily skyrocket" and this is what we chose.

4. this is a small price to pay for liberals, because George Bush and his predecessors have not been allowed to cause another global warming hurricane since obama has been in power, although Al Gore did sell out on the global warming scam.

Boycott! Burn your wood stoves, work hard for yourself, chop wood, save money! Open your windows in daylight, so u can keep lights off!

why work to provide energy by chopping wood or earning a paycheck to pay the bill. All you have to do is vote to give yourself free electricity. Call it a basic right that the government must provide.

We put the free entitlement president in the white house, now let's get our free electricity.

Smart Meters allow utilities to charge more in summer and winter, and less in spring and fall.

Obama's EPA has regulated coal-fired electric plants out of existence. TVA has been particularly hard hit.

When the dollar crashes, you better have some alternative to utility power. Invest in solar, wind or a wood burning stove. Because you won't be able to buy power with worthless currency.

In the meantime, watch your wallet!
Some Insight

In 2010 Kentucky had the 4th lowest electric rates in the USA. KY average was 6.73 cents per kwh.

Today Paducah power residential rate is 9.732 cents per kwh

That is 44.9% higher than the average KY rate in 2010.

Obama's war on Coal is working, at least in Kentucky.

Are we still going to need the obama carbon tax to save the planet?

The paducah power commercial rate is even higher 11.090 cents per kwh.

The easiest way to make green energy a viable alternative is to cause the price of conventionally generated electricity to "necessarily skyrocket" like obama promised.

Solar Power is much more expensive than coal, so we must raise the rates to make green energy competitive.

That's why obama says rates will "necessarily skyrocket" under his plan. I'm surprised so many Americans were willing to give up their conventional electricity for the very expensive obama green energy. But obama won the election, so we must change to green energy.
