Some of you guys are clueless. You don't know anything outside of your towns. Watch videos. watch any of them of cops pulling their guns/demanding orders. They all curse. It's the adrenaline running. That's hardly bad at all. They face a possibility of crap every single time they approach someone. I'm no "cop lover" any more then I "love" any other person and job in america, and I've been hassled by them before..but to get on them for their language in a possible hostile situation? Give me a break. Again, go anywhere..even "the big cities" as some mentioned...you'll see the SAME thing..probably more of it and more severe. Get a grip

The conduct of this officer was a disgrace to his department and the PPD as a whole. His superior should take this kind of conduct offensive to the dept. and take steps to stop this kind of behavior. Police are supposed to be respected by the public but this kind of nonsense is simply a disgrace, this officer should be relieved of his duties at the very least. Someone should set an example for these thugs.Respect is earned not givin, anyone with half a brain should know that !!! Shame on the superior officers who let this disgracful conduct slide unpunished

He is a cop, and he is head if security at Dillard's and only works there part time his name is Steve croft and he is also a canine deputy for the sheriffs department he is a real cop but he does not work at the paducah police department! I work in the mall and know that he works there. He's a nice guy and typically does not talk like that but if your trying to get someone's attention and its a serious situation like that then they almost have to act like that if he was to say, "oh sir please get out of your car please and would I mind if I hand cuffed and arrested you today?" I mean come on they can't act like little wussies either!!

All he had to do was get ther license plate number if that was the case, but I'm sure it wasn't! Just power hungry and mean!

Getting their license plate number does nothing. It identifies the owner of the car. However, cars can be licensed by mothers and grandmothers because their family has crappy credit and they are doing a favor to help them out. Also, how are they going to get the merchandise back? "Driver of the car, please drive away and dispose of evidence". Yeah that will work well.

Good Job Deputy Croft!! I would have drawn my weapon as well if I was hanging on to the vehicle as they were trying to run! You could have been severely injured or killed!! Thank you for what you do....even though it's very good pay....how much pay is worth risking your life everyday!? Great Job!!

Sorry, you lose respect when you commit a crime.

And yeah..he should be fired for cursing....ok.

"Dude, you've been a bad boy, cursing at that criminal. Go home and think about this. Give me your badge and gun...hey no lip, mr. When you can keep your potty out of your mouth, you can have your job back"

Sounds about right. Oi

You had to have been there to understand. No one is taking anything away from him doing his job, just the unprofessional behavior. If he is a county deputy Jon Hayden needs to send him to anger management classes. He shoulded like a typical street thug.

I bet the Police Officers in Newton, Connecticut sounded like typical street thugs when they rolled up to the scene seeing all those children. Shame on them for saying bad words....the criminals may be able to cuss and kill people....but Cops are suppose to be perfect and not say dirty words!! I bet when they found the suspect after the theater shooting...they prolly shouted..."get on the ground meanie"!!! "You've been a bad bad boy"!! On the other hand....having to deal with domestics, stupid calls and suicides were people blow their brains out when all others are safe at home cussing as much as they want or bar hopping, cussing, drinking and driving...cops should really be ashamed of themselves. Maybe we should BAN cuss words as well!!

The point is he's a law official. Depending on the severity of the crime I can understand some rough language, however, someone being caught stealing out of the mall here in Paducah isn't a reason to go all thuggish ruggish! And I'm almost positive it was a misdemeanor offense unless they took a whole section of polo gear, which I strongly doubt saying that they made it all the way to the car before being stopped. So stop trying to twist thing and make it out to be part of the job. And also, cops in the city actually have a JOB to do! Way more crime than small town Paducah don't you think?! So of course they have a different demeanor. Here, no comparison.
