$300 and change. Boy, must be a slow news day in Pacifica. Clearly, this decision doesn't prove a damn thing except that the Pacifica Tribune staff's ability to sniff out hard-hitting news stories is second to none -- NOT!! Good thing the Trib isn't wasting any of its valuable resources chasing down insignificant minutia like the $7.6 million reserve that seems to have magically disappeared. Much better to take up valuable print space with this kind of fluff. Oh, and while we're at it, let's ignore some truly hard-hitting headline grabbers in favor of yet another ad hominem public humiliation of Pacifica's only admitted conservative, Frank Cimo. Good to have a town fool, isn't it? Good to have in-depth reporting, isn't it? BTW, who won this week's environmental award from the Trib/Council? For my money, you just can't possibly award enough of these things. I digress.. Perhaps Elaine and the entire PT staff can all head over to San Mateo County Northern District Small Claims Court next week and cover the nationally spotlighted "Case of the puppy stained carpet". Pathetic...

I've got a riddle for you:
Q: What's the difference between Esplanade tenant/plaintiff Laurie Jones and Pacifica City Attorney Cecelia Quick?

A:
1) Laurie has actually seen the inside of a court room
2) Laurie didn't pay outside consultants precious taxpayer's money to prosecute her case

Kind of mirrors the national scene. We are spoon-fed drivel about Michelle Obama's toned arms and the new swing-set for the children as opposed to Obama trying to turn this country into a socialist cesspool.

Actually, I appreciated this article. I am an aimco tenant and thought I was going crazy when they took a decent chunk of money out of my deposit that was completely unjustified. I think tenants' rights are an important topic and this article is helping me to stand up to aimco.

Hear, hear! I am also an AIMCO tenant and came across this article as I have started to wonder about the shady nature of AIMCO. In fact we recently formed a Tenant's Association here at the Chestnut Hill Village because of the inflated ISTA utility charges.
