To The Horror Of Global Warming Alarmists, Global Cooling Is Here

Around 1250 A.D., historical records show, ice packs began showing up farther south in the North Atlantic. Glaciers also began expanding on Greenland, soon to threaten Norse settlements on the island. From 1275 to 1300 A.D., glaciers began expanding more broadly, according to radiocarbon dating of plants killed by the glacier growth. The period known today as the Little Ice Age was just starting to poke through.

This is researched fact. You have no clue, only deflection to the same anti-capitalist rhetoric. If I'm a "fatcat" we need to redefine the term.
And, if, as a "sociologist," you know everything about economic systems, you must REALLY be a "fatcat."

What even makes you, as a "sociologist," even THINK that you "know human nature," especially as it relates to work and living?

As a "sociologist," how come many of the socialistic countries of Europe have the HIGHEST STANDARDS OF LIVING in the world? Explain how your degree gives you that sort of knowledge to judge. YOU apparently "have no clue."

Tell us all about the "cultural damage" which socialism has caused to citizens of Sweden. How about the assurance that you will have a place to live, food to eat, education, healthcare, and a job to do? Swedish citizens, for example, have that assurance, so they do not have to expend mental anguish in wondering where the next bite or bed or medical attention will come from. As a "sociologist," would you say that this is not beneficial? Or do you think that living on the edge of poverty is "enabling"?

Of course "staying on entitlements" is a "researched fact." Most everything is a "researched fact." How about giving us the real FACTS, not your alleged "researched facts." You have been given the "conservative Koolaid" and you drank it.

Okay, there was a "Little Ice Age." Are you and an economic contributor to Forbes Magazine, experts on the environment? Wow! "economic contributor"! I am truly impressed with his scientific background.

Were humans pumping hundreds of thousands of tons of carbon dioxide into the earth's atmosphere back in the 1200s A.D.? By burning trees?

Do you have ANY idea how many gallons of fossil fuel are burned daily now? How many gallons of fossil fuels, pumped from inside the earth, were burned in the 1200s?

Go on -- take a guess.

Find a study. Find out how many tons of carbon dioxide are released into earth's atmosphere every day by the burning of fossil fuel. One estimate is 2 million pounds of CO2 is released EVERY SECOND. Do you REALLY think this will have NO effect?

Look at the following chart. If you think that the temperature of the earth has hit its peak, don't worry about CO2. Laugh at the environmental scientists who are genuinely worried. Deny that burning fossil fuels releases CO2 into the earth's atmosphere. What do YOU care? You don't live in Florida anyway. Nor will you live long enough to see another "Big Ice Age."

Ummmm .... dipstick ... read your referenced article: Each gift consisted of a traditional candy cane with a message attached that recited the legend of the candy cane. The legend references a candy maker who created the candy cane to symbolize the life of Jesus Christ.

Interesting! And all this time, I thought the candy cane symbolized barbershops!

Totally agree.

No one in their right minds could deny that the burning of fossil fuel, which was not available in the 1600s, is dumping large quantities of CO2 into the earth's atmosphere.

Nor can it be denied that the Amazon rainforests are being cut down, and cannot absorb as much CO2 as they once could. The overall result is that the CO2 percentage in the earth's atmosphere is increasing. Absolutely. Measurably. Slowly but surely. Since CO2 is a "greenhouse gas," and helps keep heat from escaping the earth, it is believed that more and more CO2 in the earth's atmosphere will keep more and more heat from escaping the earth's atmosphere, thus leading to temperature increases. This temperature increase, which clearly is occurring, is called "global warming." Has it peaked? Only time will tell.

David, tell us ONE THING.

In the "DailyMail" article, it makes great sport of the "black line" -- which (is supposed to represent) the "actual official" world average temperature, according to the "Met Office" (UK?). In the graph, the "black line" is beginning to drop even below the 95% "degree of certainty" curve from computer predictions of world temperatures used by the official United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.

Fine. Poke fun at that (presumed) "fact."

But tell me ... is the overall "slope" of the black line, from 1970 to 2010:

INCREASING, or
DECREASING?

If you judge that the black line is DECREASING, and will continue to DECREASE, you have no fears. Long-term global warming is not occurring. Your call. Lots of luck, "David."

1. I doubt that cows produce more CO2 than our cars (cite your authoritative source)
2. Certainly, cows do not product CO2 by burning fossil fuels
3. Need I remind you that cars are not the only source of CO2 produced by burning fossil fuels?
(coal-fired electric generators, gas-consuming electric generators, aircraft, ships, trains, tractors, semi-trailers, buses, heating of houses -- to name a few)
4. Gore is not an environmental scientist
5. Gore is not worried about becoming a "multi-billionaire" -- although his net worth is only estimated at $200 million.(Don't worry, he will struggle by.)

The only thing that you do "well" is to make up silly, trivial "words." So far, that seems to be your only "skill." (Even though you always misspell those words.)

(But DO keep posting. Not only are your comments hilarious, but they also prove how "clueless" you are.)

Thanks, "Young Person." I just discovered small plastic containers which produce a lot of heat for long periods of time by chemical reaction when exposed to air. Put them in your gloves and boots. Handwarmers or footwarmers. Last up to 10 hours or so. About $1 a pair.
