Note the sign
" we were bullied by Doris... Don't let her Bully you!"

As she bullies them again!
Glad she lost

I think that part of it was the Gold Buyers, but I can't say for sure. Those signs didn't hurt her though because she lost by over 1,000 votes.

I guess I was wrong. Looks like the Gold Buyers witnessed it. My bad.

She should have just been the bigger person, recognized their freedom of speech, and ignored them. If she would have done that then there wouldn't have been a story. I think it is funny the in the comments JCPenKnife thinks this was a stunt. It wasn't the signs that were the problem, it was Doris' behavior that was the problem and made it newsworthy. And they now have pictures so she can't deny that it happened.

I think it is amazing that Evans would draw his kids out there to make a scene. He had every right to sit and hold signs but his way of doing it was tacky. It's ok that she lost, she'll just be able to fight even more and not have the worry of what people think of her. I still can't wait to see what comes of the law suits. Maybe Sweeney will lose his license. All I can say is business as usual for Arnold. The people of Arnold spoke. Now they get exactly what they deserve. We shall see.

Since they were younger children, were they Evans' high school students?

I actually saw this happen from jeffco blvd after I picked my son up from Fox. It was a perfect illustration of the lack of professionalism displayed by Doris. There was nothing illegal about the signs, so why would she try and block it? I guess they weren't made in Iowa. Lol

And of course Doris never makes a scene. What about the infamous Tamato sign. And yes the people spoke in volumes. And they said no to Doris. Now some real work can get done.

People are sick of her antics and they all got to witness them first hand at that polling place. It only gave more credibility to everything we read in the Leader and the Patch.

I hope you buy everything from Arnold and never shop anyplace else before you judge others. I would have put my hands around Evans neck if he would have had my kid out there. She lost her cool that's for sure but for those of you that has never entered into the political world muchless Arnold's political world you have no idea the stress level of it all. She caved and should have known better.

You live in Imperial, how do you know they were his kids! Besides don't you think Doris sends kids out to steel signs! Yes they do and I know that for a fact!. You can say what you want about the "good ole boys" but I will say this, when the "good ole boys" were in office, we did not have lawsuits, fights, stealing signs, etc. With the "good ole boys" Arnold grew and people were moving to Arnold, they worked for Arnold to make a better place. Since Doris Borgelt moved to Arnold, she has done nothing but cause trouble. If you don't do what Doris wants, she will turn on you in an instant. She tries to destroy people and not work for the people. She has not done nothing since she was elected except cause trouble. It sounds to me like the residents of Arnold are tired of her and her supporters and the school board, the nepotism and hiring unqualified people for positions they have no business getting. I think they have proven this by the election. You are right, the people have spoken and made a statement. I hope it goes back to the "good ole boys" at least we were growing and becoming a decent place to live without constantly being in the news!

She doesn't drag anyone's kids into the mess. Yes, the people did speak. Now we will see what gets accomplished. My guess is, you'll see an attorney to continue to be paid six figures. Unless he loses his license. You see big boxes get more tax credits. You'll see THF come in and take more over...... You'll see Doris as a citizen still attend meeting and be informed. It will be business as usual.
Well

I for one very much enjoyed the grace and poise of Doris's concession speech on her FB page. It was good of her to congratulate Mayor Counts on a race well run.

OH WAIT.
