A sad loss for Pensacola and our nation. Admiral Poindexter made us all very proud. Thoughts and prayers for his family. Thanks for the heads up on the Evertalk page Christina.

Pretty ugly.

Wonder if Nobama's "streamlined NASA" will be able to afford to give him the funeral he deserves?

Why would you try to turn the tragic death of an American hero into something political??!!?? What a jackass!!

EVERYTHING is political, you nitwit.

NASA helped build our hi-tech infrastructure, directly or indirectly, and every effort I can make to keep the fact that Nobama KILLED NASA @ the front of people's consciousness, I shall.

Are you "concerned" about that?

GOOD!!!

I understand everything you said. Yes, I am concerned. If you want to gripe about the politics of government budgeting, start a thread about it. A thread about an American hero's death is the wrong place for it. And you are still a jackass!

You might be right.

Takes one to know one.

TROLLS RULE!

BTW - sure is quiet in here, eh?

I take threads where no man has gone before!

This wasn't a thread about an american hero -"nitwit". It was an auto feed link to the New Journal story about the Admiral's death. You took it upon youself to declare this to be a memorial thread to his death. What really needs to be examined is the dangerous operation of personl watercraft in our area waters. Poindexter was sitting still in the water when his son Zachary hit him at almost full throttle, ejecting Poindexter and his younger son from the PWC. Hopefully the investigation will shed light and since this is high profile, some positive change will come out this related to safety requirements/protection
You idiot! I know this will be difficult for someone with your limited intellect, but scroll to the top and you will notice that someone before you or I began this thread by posting off the newsfeed and they began with a "memorial" to Admiral Poindexter. Again, there is a time and place for everything, but self absorbed imbeciles like you do not understand common courtesy. The topic of this thread is not about funding for NASA or who was at fault in this tragic accident. Generally, forum convention says that the original poster sets the topic. If someone wishes to go "off topic" they should start a new thread, not hijack an existing one. But, since you have obviously only been using a computer for a couple of days you wouldn't know that.

Get off your high horse.

If you'd been using the internet for any real length of time, you'd know how topix works.

Eff off, you little blue-nosed busybody.
