hmmmm.$96.6 million, and he takes home LESS than $34 million. thats such B.S. what does the government do for this money? do they build the machines that print the tickets, do they transport the paper used on the tickets?? i cannot believe that they get close to 65%!!!!! i believe that the only way to "jumpstart" the economy , is to put money into the hands of the PEOPLE. after all, without the PEOPLE, this country would NOT exist as we know it. they bail-out the WEALTHY corporations, and that doesnt work. because they allow these corporations to hand-out even bigger bonuses to their ceo's! bankers bonuses have gone UP 40% this year. SLAP!!!(in the face of the american worker) they cant even let a lottery winner keep his ENTIRE winnings. by-the-way, what does the federal government do with all this money????? why doesnt the media, EVER question government officials, on such matters??? i realize this may be a trivial subject to bring up to the government, because they already have SOOOOOOO much on their plates. i mean they do WORK 3 days a week(on average). minus a month for christmas, and 2 weeks for valentines DAY. whatthef^ckever! there arent even ANY investigative reporters left with any "STONES" to bring up "touchy" subjects to the federal government(the TRUE enemy of the american worker) and push them on it. the BOTTOM LINE is that the government has its gun in your back and its hand in your pocket MOST of your waking moments!!!!!! welcome to the land of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

I wont get into politics but the government isnt getting 65% of the jackpot. If you take the cash options, the Multi-State Lottery Assocation (powerball) gives you a reduced amount of the jackpot. If you take the Annuity option you get the full 96 million but your payments are spread out over 30 years and you take a great tax hit. With bigger jackpots the cash option is almost half of the total jackpot awarded. People take the cash option because they want the money now. The government gets roughly 25 million not the 60 million difference.

OH! pardon me! the government only gets 25 million for DOING NOTHING!!!! SORRY!!! so, a winner thats 67 years old is going to take the payment plan spread over 30 years????? and the life expectancy of americans is 73.7 years. what happens to the rest of the winnings, when the winner DIES????? let me guess. their family gets the money??? NOPE. the government does, right???

If you ever win the lottery-get a good lawyer that work for the rich. Immediately shelter the money in offshore accounts, and move out of the country. Live in the Swiss Alps or something. Otherwise the US govt will slowly suck back your winnings from you.

its exactly like the tobacco taxes. the federal government gains tax money from the land the tobacco grows on, taxes on the shipping costs, taxes on the processing, taxes on the labor used to create the products, taxes on the sales, but does NOTHING else, but yet the federal government makes the most money from these products. THEN , they want us all to stop smoking. talk about biting the hand that feeds you. theyre talking about a tax on animal farts, now. but wait a minute, arent there millions more people than farm animals in this country?? pretty soon, there will be a fart tax on humans as well. i still say "F&CK THE GOVERNMENT!!!!!!!!!
