She likes to use contempt of court as her defense in cases. I believe she isn't a confident lawyer. She's not experienced enough to have weight to her word.

I have. She did an amazing job for me. I think she took a lot of abuse during the high-profile case she was in with Judge Holden, but I respected the fact that she would go to jail for her client if necessary in order to ensure they received a fair trial. Not many attorneys will go that far for their clients. That shows a lot of character.

Be aware and only if you want to throw tons of your hard earned money away, be ignored, be lied to and have no importance applied to your situation. Anissa Bluebaum is a failure and only sees dollar signs regardless of who she hurts.

Guardianship Custody Battles regarding minors often involve long expensive battles in court. The courts have control of their own dockets, not the attorneys. Attorneys fees in these cases are exorbitant and clients who begin these battles should be prepared for the costly expense. Experienced attorneys who deal with these cases day in and day out like I do make sure to let our clients know early on that this will be a lengthy and expensive process. Unfortunately, even having been advised of the reality of long custody battles the stress and financial burden can become overwhelming to some clients. When this happens I assess the matter with the individual client and offer my support in any way that I can. Particularly with this client I offered to continue on with her two highly contested legal custody battles at a significantly reduced rate because I know how important it was for this client to continue on with her legal representation. I as well discounted her longstanding balance owed because I believed in her case and wanted her to succeed. I understand why clients feel ignored in the court system because these matters can take years to resolve. Family and Custody battles are hard to endure emotionally and financially. I understand why clients sometimes feel they have to blame their attorneys. I don't mind taking the shots from clients. Anyone who has to endure the gruelling reality of a custody battle needs to vent, need to lash out, need to hurt someone else like they are hurting. I understand. Anissa Bluebaum

I was hoping these comments were not true but it turns out they are. Without even a thought she sent another lawyers client to "makeup" with the abusive creep who almost beat her baby out of her. She is so lucky it did not explode and another assault occur because she would be responsible for it. If she had taken a minute to ask or even cared she would never have recommended the victim of domestic abuse go try to makeup with the abuser. Wasn't that the reason she was appointed in the first place. The parties could not resolve it. Why send the victim into the lions den? Let her explain it to the lawyers professional responsibility board.

Did you use her for your case and when? You can't make a comment without telling us if you actually used her to represent you. If you didn't, your comment is useless.

She represented the other side in the custody case I went through. I now have full custody of my child. In retrospect, I'm ridiculously thankful she represented him instead of the other way around. She seemed disinterested and ill-prepared for court.

I hired her for what was a simple adoption case that I was told by her would cost $1000.00 to $1500.00 and would take no longer than a month and a half to go through. It wound up taking 11 months and cost me over $2500.00. Every time I called she didn't seem to know she was even representing me. It was a huge disappointment and has made me hesitant to ever hire another lawyer for anything. I do NOT recommend her at all!

Real classy, Bluebaum. I think it's time to look inwardly for the issue, and not outwardly.

We do not need unethical attorneys in Republic, Mo. Her Door says NO SOLICITATION " oh my " but want her employees to solicit work at the local court houses .

I hired this attorney to do a simple uncontested divorce for me. The only reason I hired this person is because of a former attorney working for her. When that attorney left I was told Anissa would finish up the divorce, I was like I don't care who does it, as long as my divorce gets final. I paid $499 for an uncontested divorce, I was NEVER told upfront that I would have to file my own paperwork with the courts, on 7/7/15 I gave her office cash money of $130 to file the divorce, because her paralegal called me saying the documents are finally in that we been waiting on by my soon to be ex wife lawyer that we been waiting on, so when can I come in and sign a document, and pay the filing fee. I paid it 7/7, over a month later still nothing. I get a message saying my divorce had been closed since April, how is that possible? She told me that if I wanted to pay another $400 for a total of $899 plus $132 filing fee then they would be finalize for me. NONE OF THIS was disclosed to me upfront, because if it would have been, I would have NOT agreed to any of it. I am now forced to file my own divorce, and I have NO CLUE how to do it, and hope that I get it right. When speaking, via email, she had a "rebuttal" for everything, and I had an objection for her rebuttal. It was going NOWHERE, so I just ended it with, PLEASE MAIL MY DOCUMENTS, so I can file this, and be done with it all/ because I am very frustrated.

I do not think "Anissa Bluebaum" is a BAD attorney, I just think she's an inexperienced attorney, and to young to run her own firm, I would recommend for her to partner with another firm before tackling her own firm, and gain experience and more teaching.

I am trying to stay positive and give corrective criticism during my experience. For I do not like to leave real negative remarks on a business, BUT after reading some of the reviews, I would have to say I agree with majority of them. I am sorry. BEST ADVICE I CAN GIVE is to close your firm, because its tough to run a business, and find a partner to work with, and gain more experience with that firm, then maybe after a few years of knowledge, possibly try and open your own firm back up again.. Just some helpful advice...
