I don't know that this event says corrupt. Perhaps hostile, aggressive, violent, or reactionary would be a better choice. Perhaps the investigation was done in a corrupt fashion. The test for LSD was ordered but never appeared?
Ozark Police Capt. Tom
Rousset says he's "thrilled to see his officers cleared", and says "they only use stun guns until a person obeys their orders."
This is great encouragement for me to do my shopping and any business far away from Ozark. I would surely hate to find myself having a negative reaction to my medication near a highway in this jurisdiction. To find by their own admission that police are using a Tazers as a motivational device on unarmed people scares me plenty. I'm sure the derogatory statements didn't help. But,high or not, how much danger could a 16 year old boy with no weapon and a broken back and heel represent to two adult, presumably trained law enforcement officers?
Either way this reeks of very poor police work.
There were more than two law enforcement officers there. Just saying. Also, the taser is a compliance device.

You could not pay me enough money to ever go through Ozark MO again. The cops are very bad in that area and so is old Waters as far as I'm concerned they should clean house in that area and fire all of them dam forgot it is the good old boys network. I really don't like them at all

Yeah well you also have to think about the officers and the ones around them. How do they know he didnt have a weapon. How do they know what there intentions were. Thats right they dont. Seems like everyone expects police officers everywhere to be super heroes when in reality they are humans just like us. Capable of fear and mistake. Do you people think they are mind readers or something? But you can be sure who you all will call when you need them. Thats why I couldnt be a law enforcement officer because I dont have the temper or patience for stupid people to mouth me when they get caught breaking the law, but scream for my help when someone is commetting a crime against them. I could never live in that area and one thing is for sure 90 percent of the Ozark police department can't get a job else where and that alone is scary for most place won't hire them

Sadly, this news making it's way around America fails to follow up and is happy enough with spreading rumors and inuendo's.

The MO State Police investigated this little doper who was high on LSD and decided he could FLY off the bridge.

NEWS FLASH...the cops didn't tase 19 times but only 9 times.

People need to learn the FACTS before blaming the cops!

Age doesn't have anything to do with it. A 16 year old will kill you just as dead as an adult. That goes for a 5 year old if he/she knows how to pull the trigger.

This is what gets the police killed sometimes,
Because of someones age they hesitate to defend themselves. And as you said a kid will kill you just as dead as a adult will.

These blacks and mexcains in places like Los Angeles wont think twice about shooting someone. Who cares they are 11 or so, If they have a gun and most do they will shoot you for the two dollars in your pocket. And age shouldn't have anything to do with defending yourself.

Not racist just a fact

If you can go get a attorney in springfield and move out of that area. They have several cops in that area that are bad and so is Walters. Judge walters gets money under the table and I'm sure they are making money for your husband being in jail. I have no use for that area at all and I could go on and on about them. They can only hold him for 2 weeks and if they don't pick him up they have to let him go and that is the law. I'm not a attorney, but have several in family who are and fight back and expose walters. Walters is not a good person, but move out of that area when you can

Was any of you all there? Did any of you see what happen? Though I do agree there are some questions to the event that took place....I can't jump to assume the cops did it because they are bad. Remember they are traind to dill with things in whatever means they have to gain control. Tasers are less than lethal tools that give a shock of 50000 volts that when the probs enter the body reduce down to 1500 volts or 1200 volts depending on what taser is used.(Cool what you learn when you take time to look into things) tasers are more safe then pepper spray if you look at it. Pepper spray effects the resperitory system causing the person to have shortness of breath. Also how in the world would you know if that person does not have an allergic reaction to the pepper? Say they do and their throat closes up...well if ems does not arrive quick that could be really bad. So along with the exteam pain, hard to take breath, temp blindness and the fact that everyone around the area the spray is used will effected I would say that a short burst of a taser that when it stops the pain is over is far better then the effects of the spray. This kid was no angel. If he was tased then he probably was doing something to get tased. Police are not stupid people. I will admitt there bad ones out there but there are more good. Just goes to show that if the police are dealing with you and tell you to do something...better do it! Keep up the good work officers
