We went on a tour with them a while back to Tunica...the bus ride was Ok....but we didn't like the fact that they were trying to collect tips from the customers...we felt pressured to give tips when asked. If they aren't making enough money then why not just charge more for their service ! Tour bus operators (and their assistants) always eat free at the hotel/casinos...and if its an overnight stay they stay free too. Thats built into their contract with the casinos. So they don't incur any additional personal expenses while there. So why do they feel they need to collect additional money from their customers? My wife leaned over to me on the bus after they went around trying to collect tips and she said something funny....

Gee...whats next? Are they going to come down the aisle and try to sell everyone a bottle of Roadrunner "Elixir" ? She said they reminded her of "Snake Oil" salesman...from a traveling show !

One of our fellow passengers heard my wife's comment...she laughed and agreed ! Charge more for your service....don't try to milk the customers for more money. We WON'T be going with them again....

We have been going with them to the Downstream Casino for several times and I keep asking myself how much money does Max have to make. He is the owner of the company and on every trip he has one of his cronies (male or female) going through the bus collecting tips for him. This is a joke to accept tips from people who in the most part have just lost their money in the casino.
For one, he DROVE you down there so you could sit back and relax. HE did not cause you to loose your money. These to things have nothing to do with one another. Often referred to as a "gratuity" (tip) for good service. Just like eating out, get good service you leave a tip. If you don't get good service you don't leave a tip. If Max did a good job driving you then he should get a "tip". If not, don't tip him. But, consider the cost of gas and liability. Don't think he is making THAT much. And, you get match play once you get there that makes up for what you had to pay for cost of the ride. Try driving the trip yourself and see the difference.

Think a few $'s tip is worth the fact that HE has the responsibility of your safety, cost of gas, ect to deal with. Of course you probably feel that it is their fault you lost your money in the casino as well. Try driving down there yourself and compare the differece. Personally giving the DRIVER a couple $$ as a "gratuity" is worth being able to sit back and relax.

I've been a driver for years, I'm 38, tips have always been a "customary thing" and greatly appreciated! I have everyone's life in my hands and I take it very seriously! I do my best for you to make sure YOUR trip is enjoyable and fun. If you don't tip, Ill never know and still treat everyone the same. Im human and like to be appreciated too, you can go throw your money away but are too selfish to say thank you in a monetary manner, that's fine, I won't lose sleep or starve but it says alot about what kind of person you are! Thank you for your time! Max and Ann are great to travel with and NO I don't work for them!

Gas Buster tours out of Branson is great and they don't ask for tips. They have trips to 3 different casinos. They play bingo on the way in which you have a chance to win prizes and no cost. The prizes are bags of candy, lotion, and other little things, but it is a lot of fun.

We are wanting to take a Bus Trour to Tunica Mississippi. I have a brochure from "RoadRunner Tours" operated by Max and Ann Speak out of Ozark Mo, but I cannot find any information on the Web about this company. Has anyone used this "Roadrunner Tours" before?

We have started taking bus tours with Advance Tour & Travel in Ozark. They do bus tours and cruises. What I like the most about them is everything is included. Just like they tell us - you can leave your wallet at home. All we spent money on was our souvenirs. They take care of all the tips for the driver, or the guides & on the meals too. It was nice to not feel like we were being "dollared to death". They have a Tunica trip that we're going on in December.

Wonder why 3 tour buses were being escorted by a La Sheriff thru Springfield - first time I've seen the ones with blue flashing lights . Far from home that's for sure .

Casinos are the only thing in that area .. Well except for the porn shops along I 44 . The way I see it as long as they keep serving 3.2 beer there's not much reason to need a ride . -lol

Do your homework before you travel with "Max" Roadrunner Tours. I have not personally gone on a trip with Max and will ever do so. My Gosh even Hitler has a small group of people that like him. Max... Not so much!

Maxx has Many enemy's and treats many of his guests poorly... He's a a bitter, cranky old man. He makes a small fortune from Downstream then charges the bus riders... then he wants tips. He is a Horrible Human Being and has unscrupulous business practices.

This guy is Bad News!!!
