This story has gone "global", so for those who think they can "hide it under the rug" - you are dreaming.

Tasing this child was the safest way fo her to be taken into custody. A full grown man physically restraining a child and pulling their arms behind their back is a recipe for disaster, like broken arms, dislocated shoulders etc. The taser causes temporary discomfort and no lasting damage. I would be much more upset seeing that a 10 year old child was injured (there is a distinct difference between discomfort and injury) by forceful arrest by a police officer.

The only thing needing even remotely investigated is how many medals for great police work this officer should be given.... The little twit wanted to act like a typical hood rat and got tased... end of story! Good work officer!!!!

I wholly agree my Cabot friend... I love Cabot as its much less ..ummm Dark there than most of the cities in Ar....much like my beloved Harrison :) This unruly little brat was dealt with in a most humane way and is all the better for the experience in that hopefully the tasing removed from her childhood sensibilities any thought of ever allowing her life become yet another crack head loser liberal!!

Tasering an innocent child for a temper tantrum in her own home is beyond belief. Cruel, inhuman & unlawful. What purpose does it yield, other than learning that an adult can do whatever they want, when they want and get away with it because one carries a badge, definitely not a "badge of honour".

Your comment doesn't warrant a response. Our government is "tough on crime", after you are put in jail then you will be deported & put in an American jail.

I have read all of the remarks that the local "IDIOTS" have made. The best solution to the problem is,"PARENTS TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR CHILDREN" instead of the children having full control of the parents. All of this could have been avoided if the childs mother and father had been in control of this heathern. The parents of this heathern should be the ones that had the taser taken to them. And Oh by the way, Daddy has no place to get on television and talk about how his heathern was treated. Take control of you children and be accountable for their actions.
its the courts that gave her custody...most times the mother of the child gets that child, even if proof arises to the contary, especially with girls, they will 99 percent of the time go to the mother.

Maybe Ozark will get it together and stop hiring Trigger Happy, Barney Fife's.

Also, doesn't the mother work at the jail and isn't her boyfriend the cop that was fired a few weeks before this happened?

Its not the cop here, its the mom people. You don't call a plumber when your car wont start, and you don't call a cop when your child is throwing a tantrum. This mother escalated the situation by trying to use a sledge hammer when a screw driver was the right tool for the job. While the cops judgement may be questionable, it cannot be called definitively wrong, as the situation turned out okay. Quit looking for government or authority figures to blame for everything, and accept some responsibility on your own shoulders.

The Franklin County cop scene has always been like "Peyton Place." They are all intertwined, because they are all so sorry, no one else will have anything to do with them.
