It seems to me Ozark police must have gotten a new toy you would think they could train on something besides a 10 year old girl. I would hate to see if this officer would hae to subdue a 90 year old woman they would have to call in a sniper or SWAT team.

This officer was clearly in a very dangerous situation. And, after it was obvious that the 10 year old girl was gaining control of the situation; after she kicked him in the groin; he needed to take stronger measures before he was seriously injured.

You people can all sit here now and Monday Morning Quarterback this whole thing; but you do not know the fear or the panic that this officer was experiencing; as he was loosing control of a dangerous subject. She may have been holding a loaded gun or even a knife. This officer had a split second decision to make; as he was loosing the battle with an unruly subject.

I call this sheer bravery in the face of extreme danger. And, you people want to make light of it.

I am a mother of a ten year old boy. He can often be mouthy and defiant. However what in the world could this officer be thinking? Even if the mother said to taze the little girl. Thats just it, shes a little girl. A kid. Did he miss that part? How can you justify using the same force with a child that is used with a grown adult. I am totally disguisted that the officer involved in this could begin to think that this is ok to do to a child. He really needs to step back and re evualate what he did in this situation.

Your thinking is about 10 years behind the times. Our nation's law enforcement officers now view every single one on one with someone; regardless of the age or the sex of the subject; as a chance for personal injury to happen to the officer. Our nation's lawmen now make little to no distinction between the potential danger of a combative 5 year old boy who weighs 50 pounds; as they do to the potential danger of a combative 25 year man who weighs 250 pounds. Our nation's law enforcement officers have convinced themselves that they must treat 10 year old girls and 75 year old women the same was as they treat drug crazed grown men who are hardened criminals.

Everyone is a potential serious threat to the officer and the mighty badge; regardless of their age, sex, and physical capabilities. The police must win; and the public must submit. And, no one is to question the judgement of any officer over anything that they do. These are the new rules used in law enforcement. Unless, of course, that the public finally says enough is enough.....

I once heard a professor in college say : If I dont spank my child now the police will be beating them later.. How TRUE as you can see here . The mother didnt or wouldnt spank and called the police for whatever reason and gave them the right to taze her little girl . yes !! She is a little girl.. The Police officer was wrong. If it had been my little 10 year old girl I would have kicked him in the groin and I definitely would not have called the police to come handle the situation thereby giving them the right to treat her how they wanted .

If she was curled up in a ball, as other stories have said, why couldn't they just wait for her to settle down and mellow out. She wasn't a danger to herself or others if she was just lying on the ground. We're talking about a severely emotionally disturbed child, here.

Cops should never have been involved in this situation and this is the parents fault clearly. But using a taser on a bratty ten year old that won't shower?? C'mon folks, these are the type of people that are here to protect the community and their judgement leads them to use a taser on a kid? Man that's boneheaded

Are you kidding me?? 10 comments so far and only 3 say anything about the parent's responsibility in this matter. I would be completely embarassed if I had to involve law enforcement to get my children to shower. Spare the rod, spoil the child. That is CLEARLY the case in this situation. As far as law enforcement, its a SHAME that you can get an officer to tase your 10 year old child for not taking a shower but they do not want to get involved when a grown man/woman is beating their significant other because its a "civil matter".

Lol yet it is all important to you as a stupid liberal that skanks like gang members and other terrorists have "rights" to weapons whereas police and other true citizens have their hands tied.... Figures that a liberal bonehead would speak forth..

DHS should investigate and judge the fitness of this mother to maintain custody of the child, and charges should be filed against the cop so a jury of his peers have the opportunity to judge his fitness for continued freedom.

The prosecuting attorney will be doing himself and the law-abiding public a great disservice if he allows the actions of this man to be swept under the rug by the police.

The girl should not be in a juvenile center. The Mother and the policeman should be incarcerated.

Dustin Bradshaw deserves to be fired. He had no right to taze a child. She had no weapon. So what if she kicked him in the groin. He had no reason to be at the house in the first place. Kids throw fits all the time and the police are not called. I know Mr. Bradshaw and he has a temper problem. The only reason he probably tazed the girl is because he was upset she kicked him. He doesn't deserve the job. He is suspended right now with pay. Well isn't that just great. He gets a paid vacation out of this. We pay his pay check, and I've seen him spend time he is suppose to be working, sitting at home doing nothing. If you are paid to work you should be working, not sitting on your butt in your house doing nothing. He will walk away with nothing more than a slap on the wrist because his father is a retired state trooper for arkansas.

This matter should have not happened. If you can't handle a 10 year old girl you dont need to be a cop. The mother dont need her child. If she cant handle her child. The cop should have tazed the mother when she said tazed the child and see how she liked it. Bet she wouldnt have like it.

Lmao I think we should be allowed to tase our children whenever they become unruly :) I also think that rather than deer season we should have a liberal season with no bag limit... lol!

People forget, the child was a "victim" of violence in her own home. First by her mother then a police officer (male)and then ridiculed by so-called concerned citizens who laugh and make "rude comments" about her through the internet. Shame. Why did this happen & how can we prevent it from happening again? Or do you even care? Sad state of affairs if something thinks "child abuse" is normal & permitted under the law - the law needs to be changed for it is outdated & unjust.
