I had relatives on both sides of the revolution. The Tory was given land on a harbor and a political appointment in canada for being loyal to the crown. the patriot ws given nothing until after he fought in the war of 1812. he was given a land grant of 40 nearly worthless acres of rocky steep land in Arkansas.

<quoted text>Thanks to obama he has divided our nation. I have to agree with warrior. Conservatives see things as they are and all liberals see things as they wish they could be. For instance all conservative see obama as a socialist who want to remove our guns while putting us in deep debt and liberals see obama as a man that makes promises to change our nation while taking all guns and telling them that the national debt is not a crisis. I'm not saying your either That's for you to decide.
This post proves that not all conservatives see things "as they are." Their hate for liberals, namely Obama, has them blind to the fact that conservatives have had a hand in the destruction of this country too. How many gun control laws were on the books BEFORE Obama ever took office? Yet you claim it is HE who wants to take your guns. Obama personally has passed and signed 130,000 gun laws around the country? I don't think so. Unfortunately, I know just as many conservatives who repeat the liberal mantra they see and hear in the media, "Nobody needs an assault weapon." Conservatives have passed gun laws too. And as far as the country being divided, liberals and conservatives have been divided for decades- if not centuries! You cannot honestly claim that Obama personally has divided the nation. We are all different and there will always be differences of opinion. Do I defend Obama? No. I don't care for or defend either major party. They are simply opposite sides of the same coin. I don't take sides, I just call it as I see it.

<quoted text> Good for you. many things like salt, sugar, flour, spices ,cocoa ,vitamins ect also medicine like insulin or blood pressure pills are nearly impossible to grow or produce on your own. I too believe bad times are looming. If you can last three months most will starved died of disease or killed each other. Im of the mindset that ill not be trading with anyone. I dont trust hardly anybody. very few people pass the foxhole test. Im planning on avoiding others as much as possible. I dont let anyone but my immediate family into my house. Some of my siblings have never even seen my house. in my opinion friends are over rated wnen things become difficult they will all stab you in the back. I can light a fire anytime. magifying glass. A little gas and a welding striker. flint & steel. I could hand crank a magnito from a tractor to make a spark. Ive filled 100 pound propane bottles and placed them in different locations . Lp dont ever go stale like gas or diesel. It can be used for heat or cooking and there isnt smoke for someone to detect. you can freeze anything by just blasting it with Lp. Ive not got a lot of food stored up. and ill not try and defend it anyway. Ill find enough to eat. Now raptor will have a fit but I could kill enough birds with a blow dart gun to feed myself. I could kill anything with a poison dart. A little copperhead snake venom on the dart would work very well. you can make you own darts from the thorns on locust trees and a little foam rubber. make the blow gun from PCV pipe . The blow dart is silent & deadly cant be picked up by metal detectors. I bet One could be easily be sneaked on a commercial airplane. low tech and cheaper & lighter to carry than guns & ammo. a crossbow isnt a bad weapon also.
Why would Raptor have a fit? You know I support killing to survive. I would kill if I had to as well. I do NOT support killing just to kill. All those animals and birds you wasted could have reproduced and meant the survival of people- including you and your family- when those hard times hit.

<quoted text> Not just Obama - Obama is terrible? Bush was horrible? Had romney got elected he would have been terribly horrible? the nation may be divided but its not a 50/50 divide. its a 60 % parasite taker to a 10% producing maker. with the other 30% being partly makers & partly takers. Its both partys that are responsible.
LOL. I do agree with that. Though I liked Bush until I saw he wasn't pushing his *optional* private retirement accounts instead of social security, he was sending too much foreign aid to other countries.... And then the Patriot Act came along.

Damn man I would hate to be as fatalistic as some of you jokers.
Do any of you take the time to notice how good life really can be? Hug your old lady, tell her she is pretty, kiss your kids at every opportunity, and appreciate just how damned fortunate you are to be alive. All of this is fleeting you know, for many there will be ample time to reflect on the many missed opportunities once offered us daily.
Politics is only a diversion.
Heck Im having great fun just getting on here yanking your chain is enjoyable. I learned long ago my success or failure isnt determined or dependent on other people things or conditions. I was able to put myself in a fnancial and mental position to where that the actions of others dont really effect me. yep in a fatalist I know im gonna die. I really enjoy life I can spend my time in any manner I wish. I dont have to do another persons bidding to make my living. When the Sh-- does hit the fan My lifestyle wont change very much. How about you will you have to beg someone to help you?

I sure do! Every time I wake up, look outside, eat, go for a drive, hug my dogs, hang out with friends and family, etc...What do you think my website is all about? The beauty and wonders of this planet!!
I love this place! That's why I don't obsess like some over who the president is, and I don't blame him or a particular party for all of the country's ills. Politics is almost irrelevent in my life.... other than when the politicians cause taxes and inflation to hurt my budget, and pass laws that restrict my freedom!

I suppose if I was starving I would eat those opossum coyote dogs skunk fox crows housecat dogs and other varmits. killing the varmits help,s increase the wildlife I prefer to eat. The good tasty things like deer turkey ouail rabbitt squirrl and my domestic fowl & livestck. I ve seen the gooks in vietnam shoot monkeys with a poison dart from a blow gun and they ate the monkey with rats cooked with rice. about made me puke the first time I saw that. as far as other folks survival im indifferent Ill not worry about them one way or another. They better be self reliant And able to take care of themselves. Im only gonna worry about me and mine.

It doesn't matter to some. It has always been where it didn't matter to some. You can look back on the entire history of the United States and thank those who it did matter to. When times get dire some that it doesn't matter to give up but some don't and those who don't and didn't built this country, they made this country, they saved this country and they will continue to save this country. This COUNTRY MATTERS to some and those some will ensure it's survival, all we ask is if you do not want to be part of the solution then get the hell out of our way so you are not part of the problem.

Some will prevail, they always have.......

Ive been to england and canada. now the majority of those folks think they have the best goverment in the world. They love their queen as much as many of us despise and hate our president. Of course I did encounter the radicals and nonconforming malcontents also. being im a rabble rousing nonconforming malcontent myself we are kindred sprits and can pick each other out.

being a Pig headed denialist dont change the facts. the fact is the people have learned to vote money from the public coffers. So all that are ever elected are fiscally irresponsible tax & spend politicans. The gravy train of enough folks to tax has been derailed. so Now they borrow 40 cents of every dollar spent. The future only holds promise of certian economic gloom & doom. The US republic is suffering from a terminal case of parasitic cancer and it wont survive. The only consolation is the rest of the world has the same disease & prognosis.

It MUST be home to some forms of life...birds, wildflowers, insects, lichens, etc. Even interesting rocks makes it worth something to a nature photographer.

Anyone who pays taxes, or has had their Constitutional rights infringed on, has a right to speak out and complain about anything we want about our country. Voting has become a waste of time. The voting machines are rigged, the people we have to choose from are corrupt, and the media has made a spectacle of the whole process.
