When my grandparents were living, they told how the town of Blevins got its name. It seems my maternal grandmothers grandmother was a Blevins. Does anyone have any information on this issue?
Thanks so much for any help you can provide. Have a blessed day. Cindy "Lu" |

I believe we are. There is a Ken Blevins who works at Kennametal in Chillhowie Virginia and our geonalogy shows a connection. My great grand father was from Trouts Hill ( now Wayne) West Virginia. His father was Daniel Blevins and mother was Sara Belcher Blevins. Daniel was born about 1786 in Virginia. If you need any information I may be able to help. My e-mail is paulnov@yahoo.com
