No..........

Who tells you that crap.

Anywhere is what the people that live there make it.

Hicksville is great.

We live here & we wouldn't live anywhere else.

Don't listen to them, they don't know what they are talking about or they are part of THE problem.

I moved from Hicksville when there was a hold up at a gas station and the attendant was murdered. There was also a afternoon incident where someone was shot at a plumbing place right by the school. He was killed. These are not isolated problems ...there is crime .People dont want to know about it because they live there. I liked the parents and the kids in the elementary school ,so thats a positive. I met wonderful people there but didnt feel comfortable sending my kids to the high school I see two pawn shops have opened that I dont feel is a good sign .The train station opens up Hicksvile to it being more busy .....I will say that it is convenient location. Since you have young kids, you probably wont have to worry until the high school. But , there might even be gangs in the high school.MS13.. The school had about 150 bad incidents last year. Check out more on the school websites .Everyone has different opinions as to what is going on in Hicksville.

If these hicksville people were in a REAL ghetto like harlem, south bronx, or queensbridge. They would have a heart attack. There are robberies and fights. Nothing major. There are no gangs. No prostitution, drug dealing, murders. It depends on were you are from compared to sorounding areas it is ghetto but i came from college point queens so its like fantasy land for me.but it isnt nice ill tell you that. It depends.

You gotta be kidding with these posts hicksville is a busy town train station is busy a lot of drifters come through here work and opportunistic crime seekers take advantage of the many escape routes to commit crime the residents in this town are good people who are educated and make a good living own business kids go to college etc. stop trash talking my town, you people are full of shit and are obviously extremely ignorant to say such stupid things. You want to see a ghetto? go to hempstead go to huntington station or mastic/Shirley Medford you know where they are....unbelievable!
