Manhattan Beach sand has been removed as a possible source for use in the Broad Beach restoration project in Malibu, according to an email sent from the California State Lands Commission Tuesday morning.

Pardon me if I missed something but why do they have to have sand from MB? They could have gotten it from Camp Pendleton.

Interesting how the Broad Beach folks are not only greedy, but now they're downrating the positive comment (#1) above. Everyone loves our Mayor and yes he did a great job on this issue. Shame on you GHADs!

Dear Broad Beach multi-millionaires:

Scientists you are not!!!

Mother Nature always wins. Do some research on this and how New Jersey wanted to do the same thing. Glaciers are melting. Water levels are rising. warmer weather is causes huge storms. Any 5th grader knows that.

Also, your real estate people should be arrested for lying to potential buyers. Shameful!

Those vindictive Broad Beach folks sure are disrespectful with their ratings. But then this is Topix, where anybody can do stupid stuff (like building your homes too close to the ocean, protecting your septic tanks under your homes because you won't connect to the Malibu sewer system and denying public access to the public beach in violation of a consent decree)!
