Friday night there was an incident at Buck's Tavern in Rising Sun. A customer simply trying to pass by a group of Pagans on his way to the bathroom said excuse me several times. No response from the group so he tried to squeeze his way through. A wife of one of the Pagans was bumped (not injured by the way). The Pagans proceeded to beat the heck out of the customer by getting him down on the ground and punching him in the head. His elbow was also disclocated. He ended up in the hospital. One of these criminals owns Jim's Produce Market. Please boycott this establishment if you don't agree with this type of senseless violence.

Does no one care that these people make illegal money and then come in and assault innocent people trying to enjoy themselves?

Does anyone know the man that was injured? Were the police called? I go there regularly and I know Jim. This doesn't sound like him but, you never know. I just hope that something is done about it. They really do have great food there.

This is an unfortunate result of being in the wrong place at the wrong time and not understanding club rules. Pagans have rules they must adhere to, a creed so to speak. One of these rules is that if a non-member touches a member who doesn't want to be touched, whether inadvertant or not, it may be considered an assault and the Pagan can retailiate. If there is a group and a chapter president (diamond shaped patch on the top of his colors) or worse, a mother club member (13), and he tells them to retailate, they better retailate or they will be disciplined severely by the club. If there were Pagan Prospects, this show of loyalty may help them get into the club which is what they'll do anything for. I don't know this "Jim's" rank in the club but if he is a Pagan and he failed to join his brothers in the retaliation against this patron, he may be the next to receive a beating. In no way does all this make it right or excuse these guys from beating this guy at Buck's. It's just a little insight at the mentality of the Pagans. It is very likely that the guy who was beaten will not cooperate with the police as far as identifying and prosecuting because he fears retaliation. But this is just my $.02

Thanks 4 the insight but as far as I know the customer said excuse me 3 times. It seems like a setup by jerks on a power trip with nothing better to do. And also as far as I know the guy has recovered. Police were callled but I don't know if anyone was charged with anything.

In the '70's, rumor has it, that Jim of "Jim's Market" killed a man at one of the local bars in town. That bar in now known as "Uncle Willy's." As I said this is hearsay, but my source is quite reliable as she knew Jim very well in the '70's and went to school with him. He is a known Pagan.

so what ever happened to the person who got hit? I personally don't care what the rumors are if he is or isnt has nothing to do with what happened there. People probably shouldn't be spreading rumors on here. If you really want to know why dont you ask him. hes not hard to find

Apparently, Concerned Citizen doesn't always get his facts straight. It wasn't active Pagans at the bar in question. Jim isn't a Pagan anymore, and hasn't been for some time. Perhaps stereotyping everyone because they are a Pagan isn't such a good idea. The fellow that pushed through the group hit a beer bottle that was in Jim's wife mouth at the time, and chipped her tooth. He said nothing to her regarding that. That is why he got beat up. If he had simply said, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to do that." He wouldn't have got beat up. Common courtesy goes a long way, and it seems to be a dying art.
Jim's market is the best produce stand in the area to buy fruits, and vegetables. He sells nothing bad. He sorts through everything he gets, and removes rotten produce.
The 70's incident you are talking about happened at Lafayette Inn, and the fellow wasn't killed. He had been looking for Jim. When Jim found him at the bar and questioned him, he took a swing at one of the guys that was with Jim....wrong move...

If people do not know the facts about that night at Bucks then they should not be writing false statements (that would be the concerned citizen) Like the person said in the last post had that cocain head that bumped into Jims wife had appologized then all this would have never happened It is horrible people judge people for what they were. Jim and his wife are the best people I know!!

Excuse me but I believe common courtesy is saying excuse me three times while trying to get by. If and I mean if her tooth got chipped it's because the big bad bikers didn't feel like moving for a little skinny guy. Is it acting like a rational human being or an animal to put someone in the hospital for a chipped tooth? By the way Jim must have known he was in the wrong to offer to pay the thousands in medical bills. Which by the way remain unpaid.
