Donna Navy lived at Ronnie Browns house in Oxford
with him & his wife during this time period. She
attended Talawanda ( maybe Graduated ?) ; rumor
was ..... she dated DJ - Dave Michaels for awhile
( WOXR Radio ) after the romance ended ; she left
Oxford Ohio for Los Angeles ( with her girl friend
to get into Movies aka Hollywood and become a star
and she got into the Movies as in X-rated and made
some money and one night she never came home to
her Apt. in L.A..... many months went bye and her
family back in Hamilton, Ohio tried to find her
where-a-bouts and even hired a private dick and
she was never found and her body was never found
where-apon she was assumed "dead in dark under -
belly of the Porn Business in L.A...."
You can look Donna Navy up in the Talawanda H.S.
year books....She is in there.

I was listening to WOXR the night Otis Redding's plane went down (December 10, 1967). Walked up to the WOXR studio above the bakery and hung out with the DJ all night as he played a great Otis Redding Tribute..

I was working weekends at WOXR - The Big 97 in 1968 ---- playing R & B ...... and I was a
student at Miami U...the station was fun ( I remember Dave Michaels & Bob Zix ) both had
been there awhile and were experienced radio guys !
I remember driving to Cincinnati and losing the station signal not to far from Oxford.

I sold air time for the station, did a few night shifts and made some spots in the summer of 71. Station was owed by a fellow in Kokomo Ind. who also owned a country station there that I knew. I remember the "Ox of Oxford" who I think is still working in radio
