my daughter went there and turned her life around whenever there are a lot of different types of people and different backgrounds you will hear a lot of stuff but you want to turn your life around you can focus on your change and not on what others have to say about kitrell job corps. the important thing is that they have the programs you need so go for it be there but not apart of the crowd get what you need to turn your negatives into possitives

To Val - you said your daughter went to Kitrell JOb Corp and turned her life around. I am taking my son there tomorrow for a tour and interview. Do you have any advice or suggestions? My son is very shy and NO self-confidence and I am afraid he will not interview well. Any advice or what your daughter's experiences were like at Job Corp would be so appreciated.

I work in the school system and from time to time I have recommended the Job Corp to some students. It is a great program. If you take advantage of what they offer and stay focus, you will be very pleased with the results. It's the only program, other than the armed service that, gives you shelter, feeds you, you can earn your GED, learn a trade, and get paid. If you can't do it the traditional way, the Job Corp is the next best thing. God Bless!!!

Hi, I attended KJCC after graduating high school.I loved it! My trade was Business Clerical, I went to the local college through jobcorp and graduated with an A.A.S degree in Business Administration. I received clothing allowances, was paid bi-weekly and also went on great trips. I even worked at KJCC for 3 years and I recommend it to anyone. My advice to people considering it is you need to know what you want to accomplish while you are there and you will achieve it through jobcorps.

I have a child that is currently at Kittrell Job Corp. I have urged my child to report these thing, but she is afraid of retaliation. Therefore, I will do it for her. She has explained to me that the other staff there do nothing to solve these issues. The reason I believe Kittrell has a bad reputation, is due to inefficient and immature staff that allow such things to go on and also staff that participate in these things. These are mostly children that are the students. They need someone to stand up for them and remind them why they are there. They can't stay on a positive path if they have negative staff steering them off to the side.

I went to Pittsburgh jobcorp when i was 16 i completed the program in about 10 months i left with my GED, CNA, First aide, and CPR. The best part i got 1200 when i was done. High school wasnt 4 me im now 17 and job corp was the BEST thing to ever happen to me. If u thinking about going go because every things FREE u cant beat that. Job corp has its bad things an which evey program does if u go up there focused on what ur trying to accomplish u will get it.I have been out of job corp working as a CNA for almost a year. I actually went to job corp. For every one that has something bad to say about job corp dosent kno what they are talking about Its a great program. I seen so many people go up there spend 6 months or a year and leave with nothing. Thats their stupidity FREE ROOM AND BOARD all u have to do is stay outta trouble and take advantage of what they have to offer thats what i done. YOu have to have a adult mind state to actually appreciate Job corp. yes u have bad kids, Lousy staff, and unorginzed but if u stay to ur self and stay focused u will be fine. People sleep on job corp and dont give them the credit they deserve it a good program. Take it from some 1 who went. It was the best thing i ever done cant wait to go bacc and complete the lpn program work for a year then go bacc for my RN. USe them for all u can i use them as a stepping stone to get to my goals and im doing it all for free no loans and i wont be in debt. IMA be job corps poster child lol feel free to email me if u have any question on job corps program from some one who went and had a good time there.

I went to Job Corps in Simpsonville Kentucky many years ago. I am now retired from the United States Navy with a college degree and work for the state. It works if you want a better life Job Corp will help you achieve your goals I say go for it.
