It is unfair to charge anyone that sells a home to pay for local schools that they will not be using or subsidizing, the homeowners that are in the local school area should be for the schools

I'm not sure how the issue of the real estate tax transfer tax is supposed to be decided. I sent an e-mail to my NC House member and the reply he sent back seemed to be putting all the blame on Local Government It is my understnding that the NC House and Senate must pass legislation giving local governments authority to levie such a tax. Will citizens be given opportunity to vote on this issue in local referendums? Please, clarify this for the citizens of NC. Local citizens should have a part in deciding an issue that will affect most of us at some point.
