we recently visited crown lake at the boxhound marina, and had to pay to be able to swim at the beach... actually, you had to pay for everything.. even air to blowup your swim toys..
are they not required then, to have a lifeguard on duty?

And they want Horseshoe to be a better tourist place?? Why in the heck to people come here to vacation? I live here and I can say there is nothing that you can get here that you cant get some where better.

We like Crown Lake. Have a pontoon at the marina. We find it to be clean with a nice sandy beach and swim area. As far as being charged a dollar to use it. Do you think it is free to clean up after everyone? Where else can you get a whole day of enertainment for a buck?

they own the few lots the marina sits on so they can charge however much they feel like. mrid is not part of it. for putting up with half the trash that go there, i would charge more than a dollar. its not fun to pick up dirty diapers, beer cans, and all other sorts of shit.

i think its funny that people go to muy buddies marina and complains about the dollar it costs to get on the beach, but yet they still pay it, i think there is something to that. like 2.50 for a gallon of gas...i bitch about it but i still pay for it..if you dont like the prices then open your own buisness and charge as you please, but you will find out there are only few things you can really charge a bit over and get away with it...that is sales...get over it!!!!
