I am fed up seeing so many people hooked on pills in this county! I was born and raised here and I WAS proud of our little "Mayberry" town. We used to feel safe, could trust our neighbors and the worse thing a teenager did on a Saturday night was take a drink of alcohol, burn tires at the red light, sneak a smoke behind a building! Now we are getting stuff stolen from our homes, cars and businesses.(This used to rarely happen)If we dont stand together we are gonna keep falling hard..its very sad! I want to see our children and grandchildren live a good life and have a chance to succeed..not die from an overdose or get so hooked on pills that they give up on life. Im saying LETS CHANGE IT. Do whatever it takes, start a watch program turn in everyone who is doing or selling drugs or suspected drunk drivers, family or friends anyone that you think are on pills, etc. They may hate you now but love you later. Some may think I am trying to stir up trouble, well I am! I hope all other concerned citizens do the same-stand for something. Dont let these pillheads run us outta our little town-lets run them out. God Bless you all.

Yes and I bet the name of the rat police is W.E
They got one at dispatch that also tells them if the law is looking for them or if they have warrants.

Yeah very tiring seeing all of the people hooked on drugs who can't take care of their kids who end up giving them up to their families while they "do over" their life. It is called grow up and take care of them!! It's not our jobs to raise your dang kids! People I swear!

You all had a chance to change Bath County for the better, you had someone willing to Walk Tall and do what it took to clean up the drugs, the corruption...but the people chose poorly during the primary elections.

Get someone who actually DOES something and all you bleeding hearts would complain he was too hard on crime. I've read here, on Topix, over and over again that people ought to concentrate on "big" drugs instead of marijuana..... that Pot ought to be legalized, so why pick on people who use it? There's the beginning of your problem. It's not Swartz...it's not Tuffy...it's your own stinkin thinkin..... IF a drug is illegal to have in your possession, IT'S ILLEGAL...it's not kinda sorta illegal.... If this is a dry county...then alcohol shouldn't be served ANYWHERE in the County. End of story! Until it's legailzed, possession of marijuana should be treated like possession of any other illegal substance. Maybe if the citizens all demanded prosecition of ALL people caught with ALL illegal substanaces in their possession, the drug use here in Bath county would decrease. Yes...election of the "right" person for the job is a beginning.....BUT....the elected official is only as good as the people demand him or her to be.

Are you a moron or just plain stupid. What the hell you think this topic is about. Can you not understand what was said.you must be a Swartz. No one said anything about alcohol or wacky tobacco. It's about the court systems turning them
free and the law turning their back.u cannot do nothing about drugs when you use them yourself.
END OF STORY.

Ok lets say it like this .( Example only )

Suppose Someone has a M-80 firecracker ( Pot )
and then there is someone has a stick of dynamite ( Pills or harder drugs ).They both are illegal .

Which one should the law spend the most time and money to catch . The low end or high end .The not so dangerous or the most dangerous .

Should the law look for M-80's or a stick of dynamite .

They look for pot because it is easier to find and the pills and harder drugs is hid and they would have to do too much work to find them .

I for one would like for them to forget about the small stuff and find the pills .

My opinion

My opinion why dos a person need any drug for a crutch? One girl was on Topix going on the other day and said she had need of illegal drugs because she was raped as a young girl (emotional pain).

Has drugs really changed anything for her? No, they just postpone the inevitable and add to what she will eventually have to face her problem on her own, no one else or drug of any type is going to do that for her.

I'm not against a occasional drink or two. But when it comes to having to have it several times a week or day than something is wrong with the person to have a dependence on some pill, weed or drink to feel good about themselves, to live their life day to day.

That being said if a person has a real medical reason, terminal or painful cancer, near death and such I think it marijuana should be a prescribed drug. They did so for a 7 year old girl going through chemotherapy.

http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2012/12...

I do believe marijuana to have medical / therapeutic uses, but it is a shame it has been given a bad rap because some want to use it for recreation. The same for other drugs that can be used for chronic major pain or those going through a horrendous death because of cancer, organ failure and such.

I also know a older woman who has been doped up for 20 plus years. The reason death of her beloved husband. Has it really helped her, no, she needs to get off the drugs prescribed by the doctor and grieve for her sake and those involved with her, family, friends. She has not grieved the death like all of the rest of us. Life is a cycle, we all must experience life to live life. If you stay stoned, your not living, your existing.

Your so damn smart why don't you do something about it.if you new the new law's that your Democrats came up with then you would no they are not going to do anything with drug heads.
Your more apt to get a fine for seatbelts than get caught with drugs. Can u read just look a the courthouse records in the newspaper and see who walks free.and if your smart enough to no it the law is in on drugs to. It's a known fact that a certain deputy was taking money from a big time drug dealer in sharpsburg. He was a city cop in Carlisle.
