Yeah, he does care about "his" boys,
but, if it came down to anyone else, he don't give one F**k, he is a prick, definitely one of the biggest ones to come through bath county,
Arlen on the other hand is a good person,

Don't know who you are but you seem to have a pretty good handle on both. One is a lifer that lives for the Red and White except for when the Steelers are playing. The other simply is not and will be on the next bus outta here when a bigger school calls.

I must give credit where credit is due. The last 2 boys basketball seasons are the best we have had since we left the old gym. But he did have the best talent top to bottom that we have had since then too.

Wish I could say the same for the girls team speaking of Arlen. Hope everyone that wanted him gone so their kid would get some playing time is happy with what they have seen so far. If the new coach is able to keep the team healthy and keep some attitudes in check at least on gameday, they could win 5 or 6 games. Remember kids: be careful what you wish for.....But I would say that with the influence of some of the ones that pushed for the switch the new coach will be given a pretty long leash. At least 6 more seasons.

Before you drink the Kool Aid of the Great One, find out how many others (coaches, administrators, colleagues, etc.) you can start this sentence with:
"__________ and Coach Hicks aren't big fans of each other."
When you run out of ink, maybe you will figure out the truth of who really cares about the kids of THIS COUNTY.

It doesn't seem to me that anyone is happy at either school in the county, not the teachers, board members or coaches....Are the kids happy? They should be the first concern of all these people! Stop fighting amongst yourselves and serve the children and do your damn job!!!

A. Did you miss the point? I agree the kids come first. One is trying to do his damn job AND serve the kids in this county. The other is completely self serving.
B. The teachers are the only ones that are 100 % at the schools anyway. Some, or even the majority, of the coaches are not teachers just volunteers. And the board hasn't got a thing at all to do with this discussion. Quit painting everything with a broad brush that everyone is out to get someone. Stick to the dicussion at hand please.
C. Which "either" school would you be talking about? Thought we just had one school we were discussing here (BCHS) since it is the only High School in the county. Hicks is the HS boys BBall Coach and Arlen is the HS Athletics Director. This falls under the "broad brush " catagory again. Please focus.

Is this your first time on Topix? Don't you know that 99% of statements made on here are based on absolutely no facts?!
But this statement is in that 1% true section. I actually know several reasons why but I am not going there on this sight. Those who know both well enough know the answers too. Any there are many.

Hmm, well, I believe that it doesn't matter what you say, cause it does come down to the truth, and the truth is...

Hicks isn't going to be at BCHS next year, because when his star players leave, he's gonna go runnin' with his tail between his legs.

and.

Arlen. What can i say? He's a good man, and if you actually knew him like i do, you would know that he is a generous caring person,(caring more than just his basketball team.)**cough cough** couch hicks.

But hey, thats just my opinion i guess, and everyone here is entitled to their own.

Brian Johnson was the best coach Bath Co. has had since Julian Cunningham ;but certain kids were not babyfied and didn't get to play a lot so the high soceity railroaded him out.He took the team to the regional with a lot less talent than Hicks has had. However;since he is gone Hicks seems to be the next best coach we have had since Cunningham, so let him do his job and hope he don't leave to another school.

I think this may be one of the most true statements you will see on this site....

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Leo

If you ask someone to give you a hand today, don't be surprised if they make a mess of it. That's probably because their mind isn't on the job, but it might also be because your instructions aren't as clear as usual. So before you get angry, check that what you said made sense. Relations with someone older or more influential than you could also be blighted by confusion or doubt now.
