You are stupid to think that the Amish have killed all the deer.If they do kill a deer, they eat it.Can't say that about all the deer population control specialist, that drive around with gun hanging out windows killing everything that moves.Day or night.

When you have 18 kids to feed and some of them are at the age they can hunt. I know of a Amish family that has 8 kids of hunting age, what's that 8 to 16 deer right there. They do preserve and eat the meat and don't let it go to wast.

18 Kids . Most americans know when to lay off having kids .I think they should be a little more responsable than having all those kids . This world is getting too crowded the way it is .
They can't live off deer and turkeys . The kids look under nurrished to me . Is it that they kill the deer to keep from having to work to buy groceries .

I know several families that have raised kids on deer meat and other animals in Fleming and Bath counties. Back several years ago I was with some boys from Fleming County and asked if they wanted something to eat, they said yes. I went to McDonald's and got everybody hamburgers and frys, they said they never had been to McDonald's before and that the hamburgers tasted funny. I realized later that them boys had been eating ground up deer meat and the parents were telling them it was hamburger.

Not many hunters this year. Cost of tags, shells, and guns have caused many to not spend the money in this economy. If you have the deer processed and you add up all your expenses it is cheaper to buy your meat at the store. There is the disease that is similar to Mad Cow( I think they call it a wasting disease in deer) that has a lot of hunters concerned that I have talked to. Even though they haven't found it here, so they say you know if it is in the border states, it is here. It just seemed to me this year the hunters just stayed home.

Heres what yall dont know your figuring deer aloud to be killed by amish using our laws they are excluded from the laws we have to follow we can only kill four that's not for them have you ever called a deer in it asks if you are amish yes they can deer hunt all year long they have no season or bag limits. That goes for all wild game i have no problem with Amish people but i have heard farmers who live next to them say they destroy deer population in a year where they are with as many amish in bath county now its possible they are making a big impact in some places they do have to call there deer in but they don't have limits like we do

Nope, Amish family over in Fleming County has 18 kids and a house that looks like a hotel. Matter of fact that is how I know my ex father in law asked what the big house was a motel for visitors and the man said no it was for his family he has eighteen kids.

Most of the young Amish families I know try to have a child every year until they are not able anymore, they don't believe in using birth control, some of course have twins, more than likely like the large family in Fleming County.

They believe that a child is a gift from God and see them a blessings.

I have Amish neighbors and they do kill every type of animal there is , anytime they want .They are poachers and no one cares about them poaching .
There has been dead deer found in the summer time with bullit holes in them and there are no other neighbors close .
Now I have no turkeys or deer to hunt .
From what I have heard they make traps like the wild hogs traps to catch all the turkeys and even quail coveys.
