Do we need a sheriff thats every body buddy and will not to put people in jail. or should we have one that upholds the law and will try to clean up our drug problem that this county has. And who would you all like to see run this time for sheriff

James Smith. He was the first one to sign up to run, and has the experience. He's a great guy but stands up for what is right and wouldnt let the fact that he knows and is friends with someone stand in the way of doing the right thing.

He was a deputy sheriff and owns a security company. I know him because he goes to my church. From what I know of him he seems like a great guy, and by the way he talks he just seems like he could do the job the way we have needed it done for a long time

No, it's like that everywhere. The economy is causing a lot of problems and it will be worse if the economy gets worse.

It is not possible for Bath County to have a sheriff that doesn't have buddies. If he had no buddies he would never get elected, nobody would vote for him. LOL. I don't know him or the ex-sheriff well enough to know if there is favortism. As far as I knew they were both good sheriffs.

With the drugs and crime in Bath county, you need a real hardass someone thats not afraid to make a few enemies and crack a few skulls. Basically, you need a real sadistic basterd.

How do you know him? All I ever see you do is get on here and bash every single post without actually saying anything of interest. James Smith has backing from the sheriff of Pike County where he was a deputy, how is that not real law enforcement experience?
