1 I took the shotgun down to do some target practice this weekend. Blew the daylights out of a bunch of cardboard boxes lined up in the field, but that is all. Guess that makes me a dangerous terrorist:0 Have you all noticed the price of ammo? http://biggovernment.com/2009/11/10/chicago-m... |

Guns at a military base!!! Hmmmmmmmm, well I guess anything is possible. |

Kentucky has joined other states using the 10th ammendment to nullify federal gun laws--just as long as the gun is made and purchased in KY. Then the interstate commerce clause no longer applies.
The bill is prefiled. http://www.lrc.ky.gov/record/10RS/HB87.htm |

they wont take my guns until they kill me. if you dont want guns fine, then dont have them. i have the right to carry anything i want.and i have earned that right. guns dont kill people, people kill people. hitler disarmed his people so they could not fight back and thats the reason some in our government want us disarmed. there may come a day you wish you had a gun to protect your family. dont dare ask me for help if your a tree hugging idiot that gave yours up.

Bobalew,
I agree with you. If the population is not armed we are sitting ducks. I hope it is not too late to keep our guns using peaceful protest. Seems like if everyone in Bath County called up Sannie Overly and RJ Palmer and told them to support HB87, we might send a message loud and clear! Ohio and Tennesee have similar bills. This could be the start of something big. Teach Washington to butt out! |

There are actually 2 other almost identical bills in US congress, this is just one example.
If they "suspect" you could be a terrorist they can deny your right to bear arms. Since there is no court, no jury to determine whether you are, in fact, a terrorist, how easy it will be to call all people who disagree with the government terrorists and disarm them? Also I read something about a UN treaty to restrict guns in the works, but I do not fully understand this. Anyone else know anything about that? http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd... |

You are correct, Toots. It is frightening to think when we have rampant corruption in the group making the decisions on who can or cannot have a weapon, well, it is disturbing to say the least. Many think this can never can come home to them, but the truth is our world is at war and is changing rapidly. Power in the hands of the corrupted should be of great concern to every citizen. Everyone should make a phone call to SANNIE OVERLY and R.J. PALMER for the sake of our security and our childrens' future. Peace! |

Lab Rat,
The changes are coming so fast, and not good changes either... I sent an email to Sannie Overly to ask if she would write or sponsor a bill to assert state sovereignity over agriculture--same as the one pending on gun rights. The bills waiting in the wings of US congress about "food safety" have really gotten me spooked. As a small farmer, I can say for certain that the proposed regs would put me out of business. Anyway, good news there--Sannie wrote back and said she would be happy to help with such a bill. I think this is where the battle will need to be engaged--state level. And everyone needs to know how easy it is to contact your state reps. Don't be shy, people--they work for US! Back on topic--I saw this about the health care bill. Is there a section in the bill related to gun rights? I will have to check the bill! http://thinkprogress.org/2008/11/12/obama-gun... |

Here is the other side of the issue. I am for gun rights, but it seems like the GOA may be overblowing this. Still, until we can read the part in question, who can say
