so u knew what it was like and still took the chance? Bc everyone knows there is not 100 percent safe sex. Sounds a little selfish and immature, more proof it is a problem. With no education and a single parent. Poverty countinues to rise. So lets take up money to help babysit for those who are smart enough to have kids before they even have a life. Lets baby them and make it easier for them. Because thats the society we live in. And people get mad their taxes go up.

First of all, not letting girls in school because they are pregnant is an idiotic idea!!! Secondly, if the school did provide day care, it wouldn't have to be free, they could charge 30-50 a week for daycare. Also, if they did provide daycare maybe that would give the teenagers a better chance of completing their high school education and the drop out rate wouldn't be so high. As far as them being a bad influence, teenagers are having sex anyway!!!!! They are well aware of the consequences. "In My Opinion," You may think you have it all figured out and you may think you are better than everyone. NEWS FLASH!!!! You're Not. You are ignorant. Usually the people in the "ivory towers" have the worst kids. Do you know what your kids are doing? Or do you just THINK you do? Not letting girls in school just because they are pregnant is discrimination, but if you were educated you would know that already. Why take the girls out of school? They didn't get pregnant on their own. Some role model you are for your kids, teaching them to look down on people and to discriminate and judge against their classmates? And for the person who said mothers work just to supplement their wic and welfare....So what? If they are working, they are paying into the system, so why not benefit from it? It's better if work and get supplemental help than to sit at home on their asses and collect welfare from every other working citizen, which is the only option they would have if they got kicked out of school due to pregnancy. Grow up and stop acting like you all haven't made mistakes. It would be hilarious if you became a grandmother to a baby with an uneducated and unemployed mother, but hey, it was your idea to help make them that way!!!!!!!

Your statement, "2013 pregnant girl and she's not entirely sure who the daddy is" is completely inaccurate. I'm that girl, the father is spencer wilcoxson. The ignorance behind that statement is what gets me the most, I have never stated or told anyone I didn't know who the father is, because there is no other possible and for you to post such a ridiculous comment makes you look really pathetic. Assuming something so extreme can be translated into the biggest lie Owen county has ever seen. It's pretty disappointing to see this. Rumors are rumors, they have to start somewhere, which isn't from me. Especially this one.

I'm 100% positive who the father of the apparent "unsure" mother in the class of 2013 is. His name is Spencer Wilcoxson. Whoever runs there mouth about things they clearly know nothing about need to shut up. You wonder how rumors gets started. Its because ignorant people talk shit out of jealousy or just plain stupidness.

who would be jealous of being so young and having a baby? Teenagers should be greatful they aren't pregnant, bc a baby is hard enough, on top of school and working.

It shouldn't matter if you are pregnant young. What does matter is that you finish your education to provide for that baby like it deserves and to give the mother the opportunities they deserve. Everyone deserves an equal chance at living THEIR life, so to those of you who don't like pregnant teenagers because it's "sinful" then encourage proper sec education. To those who call them whores, remember your grandmother or great grandmother probably had children at 15. To those who say they aren't fit to be parents, evaluate your own parenting skills. Give these young families the chance to prosper without your ridicule. They aren't affecting your life, so don't affect theirs.

[QUOTE who="They aren't affecting your life, so don't affect theirs.[/QUOTE]

Correction. They ARE affecting "My" life if the young parent(s)(typically a singular) are on welfare that "I" pay into this broken 'system.' This is the most common scenario.

Google "Welfare States List" and see how Kentucky ranks.

It doesn't matter. You can't expect much from a generation with no respect or morals. You people think they haven't heard a million times growing up that they should finish school, get a career, blah blah blah... They don't care. They drink, party, have sex, and live it up. They could care less who they affect, bc they are the "me" generation. It's sad.

I think all of you need reality checks... REALLY.. no schooling for pregnant mothers??? SO they go on welfare because they were not allowed to finish school and no one will hire them?? Who pays for that??? Why are the schools so down about sex ed? I was a pregnant teen. I had 2 children by the time I graduated ...my choice...I also went on to finish and graduate high school AND ATTEND COLLEGE with honors in all my classes.. all while raising 2 small children practically alone because my husband traveled with his job supporting us. I NEVER received a hand out accept financial aid for school.

Do you know when teen pregnancy was the highest since they began gathering data on teens? The highest number was in 1957. It was 96.3 per 1,000 teens that year. Wow ..... people must have been horny little boogers back then. Was someone on here saying something about teens now days?

The teen pregnancy rate has been declining for years. Right now it's at the lowest level in almost 70 years. Birthrates for ages 15 through 19 in all racial and ethnic groups are lower than ever reported. Guess why? Because of sex ed. Having sex hasn't decreased. But proper use of birth control by teens has increased.

The problem is that in some counties churches have a lot of sway and oppose full sex-ed, so the local schools don't teach it property and very little useful information is given.

Here's a bit more on statistics to back what I posted above. Beginning in 2009 teen pregnancy dropped by 9 percent and then went into a historic low of 34.3 births per 1,000 teens. That's down 44 percent from 61.8 per 1,000 teens in 1991.

Guess what took place that year (2009, the year the historic drop in teen pregnancies began)? President Obama got rid of Federal funding for sex-ed programs which had been showing very little or no positive results. Meaning mostly getting rid of abstinence-only programs and ones teaching incomplete information. They were replaced with 'full' sex education programs. The result ..... America's lowest number of teen pregnancies.

Support full sex-ed. Because, sadly, most parents don't teach much about it to their teens.

Ignorance causes pregnancy.

Obama also promotes Planned Parenthood, which, if u get on there site, gives kids info on how to get abortions behind ur parent's backs. Also how to get drugs to kill what life they created. Any child can view the info. Way to teach kids to sneak! The numbers may show decrease, but what is the exact number of teen parents in the US? Not to mention, as u can see from the postings, the fact that teens see nothing wrong with it at all. U can barely force a teen out of bed for school, but they feel babies is their choice, and no biggie. Sad world if u ask me.
