I rented from him years ago,after you leave for work or whatever he would go in and nose around in your stuff...I thought it was my GF at the time till a neighbor say he was going in...After i Caught him he said he could go in anytime he wanted.I would'nt rent from him.

I would get in contact with the health dept. then,thats unsafe and a health risk..

I rented from him a couple of years ago too and he does enter without permission and go through your things! Don't sign a contract with him either that's just asking for trouble!

No, they can't just go in whenever they want, or go through their tennants' belongings. They have to provide written notice of when they will be entering before they enter, notifying of when they will be entering.

Most apartments will give you minimum 24 hour notice that they will be coming by. Most people, including myself, would not rent from someone that comes in as they please.

If this is a truthful tread, let me know which apartments he owns and i can start an investigation monday morning as far as the mold issue, as for the other issues u will need to go to the better buisness office.

I dont rent from this person, but i had an issue with a century 21 apartment, i work nights. Maint. Guy came around 10am, i was sleeping, woke up to him banging on the door. I was in a daze so i just rolled over, then i heard my door open and him yell hello???! Completely ridiculous, shouldve given a notice. I was asleep and you help yourself into my apartment?

CJ Kassinger properties also charges waay too much and repairs are only done the cheapest way possible. Bring on the duct tape. Pet deposits are horribly high. I would never rent from them again!

Read your lease agreement. I bet it states somewhere they can enter without your permission if they deem it necessary

I wouldn't be surprised if there is mold and other issues. He's a piece of work; I won't rent from him again.

Get a very loud burglar alarm. They're not very expensive. The best way to use corporal punishment against that kind of landlord is to blast his ears out.

But if it's an infrared sensor, make sure the setting sun isn't going to shine on it through a window.

It's also nice to come home and see from the status light of your alarm that nobody has been there. Gives you peace of mind when things are out of place and you can't remember if you put them out of place yourself.

I live here now and I've been in the shower and my bf had my car and he just walked into my apt. I had the bathroom door open and I heard him walk in then I guess he realized he fucked up and left so I jumped out and I seen him walking down my sidewalk and he had re-locked my door back. Like really? My air conditioner also doesnt work properly and ive contacted him 3 times now and he says there is nothing wrong with it. So can someone tell me why a 1 bdrm apt is 90 degrees with the ac running full blast all day?

I am renting from him now and have some of the same issues! I will be at work and he just comes in whenever he wants! There is NOTHING on my lease that says he can do that!

I'd find somewhere else to move to, break the lease, if he takes ya to court, tell the judge why.

I worked for Joe Wathen at Texas Gas. He came to my house when I called in sick to make sure I was sick. He is suspicious of everyone because he is a piece of work himself.
