She's awesome. No babies yet but when I asked about birth control she actually sat with me and discussed different options. No other doctor has ever done that. They usually just write a script and disappear. Plus she's really nice and tries to make you as comfortable as possible

She's awesome! Had 3 csections and after the last one, my doctor went home right after and Dawson was the one who was there. She took great care of me when I had some complications from being so anemic before the procedure. Loved her and Moore!

She's amazing... she stayed with me from day one of a very complicated pregnancy. Kept us both alive and well when my child came a month early. Her actions saved my child's life. She knew from day one exactly what needed to be done to keep he pregnancy from failing. She's got amazing bedside manners, and truly cares. I'd recommend her highly!

It's not because she wants them to be c-sections, thats for sure... I was in labor for 26 hours and 52 minutes before my c-section was ordered. She is the type of doctor that wants to wait and be certain a vaginal birth isn't going to happen, before she does a c-section. She prefers a normal birth. Things happen though...

I had her with both of my pregnancies. With my first, I wasn't super vocal about any concerns I had. I relied more on books and Internet. So when I didn't actually voice something, she would brush it off. I ended up delivering my daughter at 32 weeks, luckily with no major complications.(She wasn't on call, Toler was there)
With my second pregnancy, my son, I was more vocal. I asked more questions about issues I had. Especially ones that I had also had when pregnant with my daughter. She brushed them off. I honestly think I had a liver issue (only pregnancy related) and she didn't connect the dots, or let me even bring it up. All the symptoms I talked about were just "normal" to her. And I understand that a lot of women probably complain to much, but I didn't. I didn't bring anything up or ask any questions unless I was honestly worried. I just feel like if she would have connected with me in some way or taken more time to listen or understand, I would have gotten my issues figured out. At my 30 week checkup I assumed we would do an actual exam, considering I had my daughter at 32 weeks. Or in the very least, make an appt at the 32 mark. Nope. She said she would see me in a month and that I was fine. Well. I delivered my son at 32 weeks with tons of complications! We spent months in the hospital.
I honestly feel like if she had listened to me better, I would have been able to have a full term pregnancy.
I dot plan to have more children, but if I do, I will be going to a midwife.

Midwife? Why wouldn't you just see another female ob, they can actually deliver instead of having a midwife who can't? Not all are bad and some aren't perfect but most the time they are. And if Dawson hadn't came in and manually removed my blood clots after a csection, I probly wouldn't be here today!! They are human, they make mistakes, we all do.

Obviously they make mistakes. And the fact that the same mistake was made for both if my pregnancies, I won't go back to her. We just weren't a good match I suppose.
I loved her as a person. But the reason I would prefer a midwife is because the nurse who was with me the entire time with my son did more work then the doctor did. And now she is a midwife. So I will def be going to her if need be :)
The only reason I didn't go to one before is because I wasn't aware Owensboro had any

She was a wonderful doctor and delivered my first child. I want to have one more and she will continue to be my doctor and hopefully deliver my next baby. She will answer any questions you have but not the type to go over every little thing unless you are vocal about it.

Horrible experience with her! I can't go into it, for reasons I'm not "allowed" to explain, but the truth about her will be out soon!!!!!

She is a huge fan of Csection. More money!! I had a c section scheduled with my child. Went on my own a week early. By the time we got to the hospital baby girl was crowned. Instead of allowing us to deliver naturally she sent us to have the c section. Pulled baby girl out of the birth canal and up through the stomach. She spent 7 days in nicunit because she swallowed too much fluid, basically she caused her to drown. If we had went ahead and delivered it would have been fine. Now baby girl stays sick with lung infections thanks to the trauma. Not a fan, its all about the money

The reason i posted this was to get a little insight on what others felt about her. Obviously she is a good doctor but when i came in for my first checkup at 8 weeks her staff was nice. when i returned for my next app. there were a few nurses that treated me like the scum of the earth. one nurse told me "release my specimen" yet i had only been there once so i had no clue what she was talking about but she didnt care. at the third app. this tall brown haired nurse wouldnt even let me speak said out loud all of my medical info right infront of other women. it was so embaressing.

It's funny that the second Dawson got to the WP, dr Toler left, and blackstone retired...then a year later Griffin left. Nobody can work with her! You're better off going to center for womens health. Just sayin.
