So I went to all this trouble to make a homemade cake. They've really been looking forward to it. I get all the ingredients mixed up and when I pour it in the pan I discover there was little gnats in the flour! I picked out what I could and baked it anyways. The cake is cooling now so that I can put icing not it. How horrible am I? I plan on eating some too.

I can't. We actually had to scrape together the money for me to make it for us. I bought the flour at the salvage grocery store. I feel bad for it, but I think I would feel worse telling them they can't have the cake. I know it won't hurt them to eat it.

When are you planning to serve the cake and how many servings do you want? If you have time to make another, and if you can send me a private message with a name that I can have an order left for, a list of what you need, and which store you'd like to pick it up from, I will arrange for you to be able to pick up the ingredients tomorrow morning. If you don't have time to make another and you don't mind a bakery cake, we can do that instead.

Here's the problem with this post. If its even truthful. You can't go buy a 2.00 cake mix but you have access to Internet. When I was a kid and we were actually poor there were no extras AT ALL. Internet is an extra. I feel sorry for your children.

You know a lot of food people eat have bugs in it? The FDA has a certain limit of how many bugs can be in your food.

don't be so mean! Stuff happens sometimes and people get into tight spots! You know nothing about her situation. And it does sound gross to feed your family bugs, but it happens a lot, you just don't notice it. Actually, it's possible for spiders and other bugs to crawl up your nose and into your mouth while you're asleep, and then you swallow them. Maybe you should try and think about how you can be a nicer person and less judgemental tonight when you go to sleep, it'll help keep your mind off those bugs that might be crawling up your nose after you doze off. Have a great night!:)

Thank you for your kindness but I served the cake last night. My husband didn't like it and only ate two bites. He said it just wasn't very good. My little one fell asleep before he could have any. I left it out all night uncovered so I would have an excuse to throw it away. My heart is broken in so many ways.

And I use my neighbors wifi for free. She knows and insists I don't pay her anything. Is that ok with everyone it would you like to find something else to judge me for? As if I didn't tell you enough.

FYI in all natural foods and some regular foods the red coloring is made from crushed bugs.
