Kelly Cecil, who used to teach at Apollo, then mismanaged and stole from parents of students at Fusion Dance Studio, is the worst teacher EVER

No one should be EXEMPT from criticism but no one should be stereotyped either.
I don't know where you work as a teacher that you make 38-50k a year, but I'm a teacher and I barely make 30k. I actually get a summer job every year to pay my bills.
First year teachers in this area start approximately 30K in the public school districts.

But you are right, that is not an enormous amount of money in this day and time.

But you also need to remember that teachers have to spend a great amount of time and money to earn their degrees. The state requires teachers to have a master's degree. That's six years of school (including the bachelors). Then, many go back to get their Rank I, which is another two years. Eight years in school and only 30 thousand? If I spent eight years in school, I would expect a hell of a lot more money than 30 grand a year. So, I don't think that's much money at all. You can go to OCTC, get an associate's degree, and make more than that. If you want to be a teacher, you definitely do so for more than just the money, because when it comes down to it, it really isn't much.

<quoted text>Teachers are not underpaid. The brightest college grads don't go into to teaching. Teachers need to stop whining and complaining how bad they have it. They get a month off at Christmas, several months off during the summer, and a spring break. We need to do away with teacher unions, tenure, and make their pay based soles on performance.
And during those breaks much of that time is spent having professional development, meetings, etc. plus they have so much stuff to grade. Say you have a test with 50 questions and an essay, and you have 75 kids throughout the day.

That's 75 essays to read & 3,750 questions to grade. It's a lot. Teachers don't do it for the money. They do it because they enjoy it.

I actually have been graduated for a while now but I'll never forget how awful and a Nazi she was.

Mr. Hay is a really smart guy, doesn't know how to teach tho.

Kreisle just weird.

Humphrey a dictator.

Fallon just didn't need to teach bc she doesn't like kids or people and grades everyone at like four year college degree levels. And never wears a bra.

One of my teachers never looked at you in the eye there, just around the room.
Oh Mr. Hay. He's too smart for his own good. I loved all his magic he'd do like levitating, the card tricks, and he could solve a rubicks cube in no time. Really awesome guy... with the exception of knowing the material but not having a way to explain it to students in a way they could understand easily.

Exactly. He's intelligent but doesn't know how to teach it. Not a bad guy though.

Do u work for county or city. If your only making 30k you're getting the shaft. I taught 4 years and gave it up because I was tired of doing my job plus the job of 3 other people and not getting a raise. I can tell you I taught English and my 46k a year and another English teacher with more time in than me made 52k per year.

I see you spout the same Republican talking points with both teachers unions and labor unions. The Koch brothers definitely get their money's worth with idiots like you.
I'm a Democrat and I don't agree with teachers unions. Teachers unions are NOT what they used to be. They protect overpaid idiots and perpetuate the idea that its okay that our children's education is less than mediocre. But will you ever hear me say that in front of another Democrat...probably not.

Most of our kids can't read. Maybe they should spend their extra money on books instead of glue sticks and fucking glitter...it isn't there fault they don't have any money, but there is NO excuse why my cousin who is in twelth grade is a straight A student, can't spell. There is no excuse for her to have slipped through the cracks like that. My Aunt keeps suggesting they hold her back and she can't even get OMS to call her back half if the time!
