Whatever they can say at the time to make themselves look better, they say. And they do that regardless of whether it's true or not. As long as the flock is listening, it doesn't matter what they say.

Sad that they're too clueless to realize those supposed comments were taken out of context from an interview by a hostile right wing blogger...in 2008.

I'd sleep a whole lot easier at night if I could voluntarily choose not to pay my taxes.

This "fly in the ointment" must be getting desperate for scandals to throw out such an old story. If you really listen to the interview, it's clear those comments were taken out of context.

We need these bisionary liberals, we need these brilliant democrats, we need Al Sharpton in office, we need the leadership of Jesse Jackson, we need a government program...

Well and fly in the ointment are most likely TheRealOldSchool. He gave himself away on another thread when he accused posters of being the same person. That's a classic TheRealOldSchool technique. Just like how he prefaces his Republican talking points by claiming "I'm not a Republican"...smh

Paying your taxes is voluntary in the same sense that paying your debts is voluntary. It depends on how you define voluntary. Like getting up in the morning and going to work. Is it something you're forced to do? Yes and no, depending on your definition of force.

The entire post is based on a false premise in the first place. Watch the video and see what was actually said. The original poster is completely clueless anyway. Reid just said a comment from 2008? How sad he's so desperate to bitch about politics he's pulling this old non story out.

I've never said I wasn't a Republican...ever. I am Republican, and proud to be. Nice try though.

I agree. This topic isn't relative at all right now.

I know you're a strong supporter of the Republican side. I doubt you're "the fly in ointment". I don't agree with you most of time, but at least you don't resort to juvenile name calling like he always does.

I have argued a lot of politics on this site, but I've NEVER resorted to name calling.
