I don't think it has been to trial yet, but the father will probably never get out of prison again.

As far as I know, Alice is looking at twenty or more years, not life.

It's a long time, but she's in her 30's so she could still make it out. Maybe for her kids' sake.

All kids need their mom in some fashion, and I know they miss her.

Kid's don't need their mom if they are kidnapping someone and shooting them up with drugs.

Please tell me how a kid would need a mom like that.

I think she just fell in with the wrong people. Mistakes happen. I just grew up without a mom. It was her choice, and I know I would have benefited from having her around in some capacity.

From the way you speak, it sounds like you are much better off the way you turned out. Sure there are benefits, but often times the detriments out way the benefits.

My mom passed away a few weeks back, a month ago, I guess, and I now feel like I never knew her, and now I never will. It's an awful feeling. Sometimes moms make mistakes, but I'm sure their children miss and love them all the same.

And I personally know Alice's younger children, and they love and miss her very much. I understand that if you do the crime, you must do the time, but I just didn't like seeing them suffer.

Nobody likes seeing children suffer, but they are better off without her, and that's quite obvious.

I may have agreed with you before my mom died.

Well, I never had a dad. And knowing the person he is, I'm positive I'm better off without him.

P.s. I'm sorry for your loss.:(
