To all of you with closets filled with $5 patriotic t-shirts from Walmart, can you please tell me just who is it that threatens your freedom? And how? Do you really believe American troops go to war to protect our "freedom?" No... Thousands of our soldiers have died in vein as they unknowingly support a hidden agenda, and so many red, white, & blue blooded Americans are brainwashed into thinking its for the good of our nation. You've come to hate and fear Muslims due to our government's lies. You hear the words "freedom, war on terror", and even "Septemer 11th," and you raise those flags and pin those yellow ribbons with pride. But do you ever stop to really think about what's going on? Do you ever think that your government and the media isn't telling you the truth? I mean, you don't trust them with healthcare and tax issues, why would you trust them about war? We don't have to fight for our freedom. We don't have to go into a battle that can't be won. And we certainly aren't the good guys. Open your eyes people. This country is failing, and it's because you believe it's the best country in the world. Don't support our troops! I don't, because I don't want to see them dying for false causes.

never joined the military looking for support, volunteered and been to Iraq twice, not cause I want to find weapons of mass destruction or for oil (9th on our list of countries we get oil from, less than 10%) I went to Iraq to provide a countries people with the freedom to go outside without being shot, so kids can go to school, so they can vote for what they want, and so they can live in a country where their lives arnt threatened every second of everyday. Quit hating on america so much and enjoy the freedoms u take for granted. U say u don't support the military cause u don't want to see them die for u just causes......last time I checked no one since the draft has been forced into the military.....I've signed two contracts on my own, and If I die, then it's my time. Funny u preach about war and troops and all u see is what u hear from tv or second hand :) go out and enjoy ur freedom and quit wasting what others have given u with the cost of their lives.

Fight for our freedom? Where did we get our freedom from, we fought the British for it...:| u didn't pay attention in school did u. And who hates Muslims? The population that I have grown to hate the most is americans, every foreigner I've meet that's moved to America appreciates what we have more than most who have had it their entire lives.

Actually, I am veteran, and I did my time over there too. I chose to leave the military, because we were fighting the wrong battles and being lied to. I guess I'm cold hearted, maybe insensitive, but I don't care about the people in other countries enough to risk my own life for them. And when our nation has enough problems of our own, we shouldn't be so worried about fixing other countries' governments.

I agree with everything you've said. Our troops are awesome, without y'all brave men and women we would be living in a communist hell by now! Wednesday we celebrate our Independence from the British! That's what the 4th of July is all about. Sad that more than half the people around here don't make the connection. I paid attention in school. I may not be the smartest person in the world but I know we should value and support our military! Thank You for being brave enough to serve Sir:)

Are we still fighting the British for our freedom? No. We aren't fighting anyone for our freedom. I do appreciate the freedom we enjoy in this country. It's the impending downfall of this wonderful country that I'm afraid of, and it'd because we aren't supporting the right wars. We are aren't focused on what's important for us. The whole world can see how America is falling apart except for most of America. But let's go blow some crap up in the name of freedom, and it's all good.

It's not America that I hate. It not our soldiers or our military that I hate. It's the masterminds at the top that have been fooling the troops and citizens for far too long that i hate. All I want is for people to open their eyes to the truth and demand change for our future.

we all live on one planet. We have a delicate ecosystem just like all other animals on this planet. So if u allow for a country to neglect its people and to allow for terrorism then we are leaving ourselves vulnerable to terrorist attack. Imagine countries as houses, if u live in a neighborhood u want to be surrounded by friendly neighbors who have a good real estate value right? Cause if one house starts to run down and criminals comes in and start slinging dope then how's that going to effect your house? And u seem like u were a fobbit. An I right?

I think the best way to support our troops is to question the reasons that they're being sent into harms way in the first place. Blind patriotism has gotten WAY too many of our boys and girls killed!

No one really knows what goes on behind the scenes except for the people we elect as the people. All of that is predetermined as well. We may not still be fighting the British, however dismantle our Military and see how long until we are. I for one do not want to be without the support of our troops. Our country is failing because EVERYONE in a position of power is about GREED! All ANYONE cares about anymore is themselves and their money! Everything comes back to money and greed! I think we as a people should mutiny but I'm just a dumb girl from KY! What do I know! I know it isn't soldiers like G Nomies fault our country is in the shape it is in. I also know without brave men and women to enlist we would not exist anymore. We would be the communist republic of China or some such bullshit!

u said earlier u didn't support troops cause u didn't want to support what they are doing? Now u do?!?! How about focus ur anger towards the ones u disagree with. We do live in this country that we fought to get our freedom (July 4th) and were allowed to vote for who we want to run the country, your allowed to protest, and no one will stop u. What branch were u in?

I'm messin with ya, "fobbits" made my job possible. I did convoy security and qrf both deployments. It sucks staying on the fob cause u don't get to see what is going on out there with the populous. I was there in 2007-2008 and again in 2011 up until dec when we shut Iraq down. When I say A uLOT has changed for the people, it truly has. In 07 no one could be out after dark and there were entire parts of Baghdad with no power much less any security or jobs. In 11 everything was like America when it comes to the luxuries of freedom an all that comes along with that. I wasn't there caring about oil or weapons of mass destruction, I was there caring about the infrastructure of Iraq and stabilization of the central government. Btw thanks for serving, those who haven't wont ever understand.

I'm just glad I live somewhere I can sleep as late as I want, or not at all! I can worship my dog on Tuesday if I choose. I can buy whatever I want with the paycheck that is from a job that I chose to apply for! Choices and Freedom are what is great about this country! I think G Nomie made a good point about thinking of other countries as neighbors and real estate!

I'm with you on this. Yes, our military is very important, but I think it should be utilized in a much different manner. I mean, do you think countries that are more advanced and could pose a "real" threat to us have as much respect or fear of our capabilities when we spend 9 years in a country not making much of an impact and losing thousands of troops to poorly trained, unorganized militants? That scares the crap out of me. We've really exposed our weaknesses to the other world powers.
