Does anyone know Dr Briones? I am considering transferring to her. Thanks!

I don't have her personally but my stepmom had her. She thought very highly of Dr. Briones. She really helped my stepmom when she needed her. Dr. Briones made housecalls when needed and treated her like a friend rather than just "a human who would pay for her next fancy vacation" Hope this helps

Dr. Briones is fabulous... I had trouble getting pregnant for a number of years and after being her patient for a month I was already pregnant. I absolutly love her..

I've heard she is a good doctor but she doesn't haven't surgical privelages at the hospital anymore. I would consider that when choosing a doctor.

Not sure. You know how rumors fly, most probably highly exagerated or totally false. I know the friends I have that went to her previously were disappointed because they liked her so much.

She didn't pass her medical boards for obstetrics so she can only do gynecology.

She just couldn't pass the medical tests required. She tried a few times.

I'm sorry I ever saw Dr. Briones! It was a horrible mistake..she seemed very nice at first, but she really urged me to have a csection..there was absolutely no need for it...she just said it would be easier on me bc its only 20 minute surgery vs. long labor and I regret it so much...it was my first child and I regret it so much...she lied to me about so many things just to get me to do it...and after 4 years I am still having problems with my inscision! I will probably have to have surgery again to fix it...I'm so sad someone did not warn me of her before hand. I wish she had her privillages taken away before I let her operate on me...
Not good! Sounds like maybe she shouldn't have been operating if she had not passed the boards!

I loved Dr. Briones, she was very sweet couldn't stand her staff though, they were very rude. That being said she's about to have a medical malpractice suit filed against her. Due to a child being born with severe birth defects due to a category X medicine she put the mother on.

I LOVED dr briones. I wish she would deliver my child. She's been my gyno since I was 16. But just like all doctors they make mistakes. As she did. I do agree there are certain things she shouldn't have done through the years but we also had a discussion about it. she regrets the things she should've done but didn't. And she regrets the mistakes she's made. She's a wonderful person. She is the only one I feel comfortable with. I disagree she shouldn't have urged someone get a CSection. but then again it is YOUR decesion. You do sign the paper. And with the meds I agree with that she houldnt have said it was okay to take it while pregnant. But I've also been on lexapro for a year an she told me not to take them during pregnancy or if I decide to breastfeed. Like I said ALL doctors make mistakes mistakes they're not proud of.

Wow. I'm sorry that anyone would have to go through those things. Those stories make me even more thankful for my OB.

I have heard horrible things about her for years, I never any considered her to deliver my baby. Dr. Dawson is a great obgyn though! I loved her and all her staff.
